Game Thread - Divisionals - New England V Denver (1 Viewer)

Guess I am in the minority but I agree with the call. I thought it was PI on the live shot because the DB seemed to force the WR out of bounds. No alliance to either team either, just want a good game.

Refs aren't putting up with that previous New England DB cheating from  years past.  Get used to it.
If you call that PI then you have NO idea what the rule is. Samuel was looking at the ball, and going for the ball, and didn't go through the receiver.
The Pats DBs have been CHEATING for years. It's about time the refs stood up to them.
Cheating how? That's moronic.

So based on years of questionable calls the refs should invent them this year? That's pretty intelligent on your part.

Well, that was an atrocious call, but that doesn't change the fact that NE can't keep the ball in their hands. 2 fumbles in 18 seconds.

What the heck does Pennsylvania have to do with any of this?

If the Pats go down 14-3 Bellicheck has a lot of work to do at half. I think that this is the game though. Pats won't come back this time.

That may be true, however, no way in hell was that a PI.

Yep, awful call.

But, of course, I did cheer for the TD.

But yes, that was a horrible call. If anything, that was Lelie pushing off.
Fast dinner eh?
Inhaled it.Heard the loud roar, came running out (her dad's a huge Broncos fan too, so I have leeway).

Now, I'm comfy, and here to stay.

PA = Pass Interference?

I obviously don't like the call, but what really sucks is that we had such a great defensive game going on by both teams, and it got spoiled by a questionable call. I agree with those drawing comparisons to the tuck rule, but again, because both of these games would already have been memorable, great games on their own, and will now be remembered for what the refs did, instead of the players. Too bad, but go Pats.

They just got caught cheating, I dunno why you are so upset about this. The refs aren't going to make up any new rules for them this year either so they win a game they were supposed to lose.

He purposely ran the receiver off the route. It was interference.

And if you'd stop fumbling it wouldn't be an issue.
You're watching a different game. The one I'm watching, Samuel BEAT him to the spot. You can't run a guy off his route when you're there before he is.Fact is, Lelie was pushing him for the past 10 yds before the endzone.

Oh, well. Still have a half to play, but I'd like to hear Bellichek's response to that play going into the locker room. Extremely late flag and god-awful judgment by the ref GAVE the Broncos 7 points.

That was an absolutely atrocious call. I mean awful, disgusting, disgraceful bad.
That was a game-changing call. The back judge should lose playoff privileges over that call. I can't believe he overruled the line judge that was right on top of that play.

What are you talking about? That was not PI.

The league does not want NE to win again. Parity, parity, parity......c$Ck#@SUCKERS!
You don't think the NFL wants another Colts-Pats showdown? Manning vs. Brady = ratings.Bad call? Yes. Fix? No.
Agree. Anyway, it would be another Steelers-Pats showdown. :towelwave:

Den-Pitt....I don't think NE has it in them to come back. Denver's momentum is so HUGE right now. NE is complaing to the refs, and at each other....this is not the NE team of last year, or the year prior.

Agreed. This one's on the back judge, and I'm sure Pioli's call to Tags will cost him something--if not playoff privileges, a reassignment at the least. But this isn't the league's fault. This isn't the NBA, folks.

This one-score lead sure is insurmountable.

I can't blame them really. I dislike both these teams, but that call was game changing and just downright awful. It wasn't even close. Samuel beat him to the spot. If anything Lelie was interfering.

The Patriots really need to let this go...If they keep complaining, I have no sympathy if they lose. Really. As bad as that was, bad calls are a part of the game just like bad bounces. You need to let it go.

I think we are seeing firsthand today how hard it is for a WC team to go on the road and win vs. a team with the bye week...Tough road to hoe for the Steelers on Sunday...

TD lead + possession in the second half.
