Game Thread - Divisionals - New England V Denver (1 Viewer)

My horse is walking off the field like the proud champions that they are.  They just got whipped in the divisional round by a good team.  Unlike your team that is still wondering who their next coach will be.
Yeah that NEVER happened to the Patriots before. They've won every SB dating back to when the game was played with a human head in Aztec times according to the media.
You know what though? It's not our fault that the media acts like this. So take it out on them.

Broncos clearly didn't bring their A game on offense (more like their C or D game), but the special teams and defense played very well. The special teams won the game for Denver, but I don't think that will take them too far.
You think the defense played well? Really?I think other than one Champ Bailey play they were pretty mediocre tonight.
NE scored 10 points and the Broncos D basically scored 7. They got to Brady and the running game didn't do much. The D played well.
Last I checked, the Pats scored more than 10 points.Get those Jets prescriptions checked.

Brady finally going to lose a playoff game?

He should have just tanked the end of the season so he could have kept his playoff streak in-tact.
You are such a joke. I cant believe you are on staff here.
Let it all out, I'm here for you.
Do you not even see the petty little person that you are.You dont even have a horse in this race. Your jealousy of Pats fans is just so sickening.

Proud champions walk off the field after outscoring their opponents. Proud champions don't get whipped. Yes, my team is still wondering who their next coach will be. I hope that can help soothe your pain this evening. GL!
Seeing as you most likely have never walked off a field proud or a champion, I dont you know what it is like to be proud or a champion.

Chin up ?? Jeez....why??Because Tom Brady says they deserve respectI'll give them respect - they are no better than the Washington RedskinsOther than that they got shlacked in a playoff game and are a non-factor in the NFL 06 playoffsEnjoy the off-season PAT fans and trust me I won't shed a tear for the disaster your team just showed us.

Sorry. The Patriots scored 13 points.

true, i much rather lose to the Broncos than the Colts
Why is that?
just like GA said, no satisfaction for the Colts.
Yeah the Colts would be so pissed if they win the Super Bowl and didn't get to beat the Patriots.
I have to agree with this. The Chicago Bulls got beatch slapped around for years by the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons. Beating them in the NBA Eastern Finals was much more exhilerating and satisfying than beating the run-down Lakers in the Finals.

I would love to have seen Pats-Colts this year, but the Pats had an incredible run. Three Superbowls, ten straight playoff wins, four playoff appearances, four division titles, and five winning seasons in the last five years is nothing to sneeze at. This team should be better next year - the secondary will have more experience, Colvin will be another year removed from his injury, Light and Koppen should be back, and if they're healthy for a full season, hopefully they can contend not only for a playoff spot but another division win or ideally another first round bye. Their road to those things will be tougher with an improving Dolphins team and new coaching staffs with Buffalo and the Jets, and the Pats likely changing offensive and defensive coordinators again next year. Those who want the Patriots' run to be over have hope here. The Pats need a new running back, some help at defensive back, some depth on the defensive line and some youth at linebacker. This is a good year for running backs in free agency, and the Patriots are in fairly good shape with their own free agents, so I hope to see them back next year.

Poor game by the Pats. I am real disapointed because they way they were playing I wanted them to play Indy. Pitt had to screw it up. If they had lost to Indy then fine they lost to the eventual champion.Tonight the Pats made too many mistakes and Bailey turned one of Brady's worst mistakes ever into the game changing play. Thanks for the kind words Grid. Good luck to the Bears.

I understand that name-calling is undesirable. That's why I've been put off by your remarks. I like it here just fine. I've engaged in good faith with many of the participants in this forum. I just think it's inappropriate for a staff member to act like a jerk, and I'm pretty comfortable with that assessment of your conduct here.

1) He COULD ban him2) Chase is above board 99.999999999999% of the time

3) Admittedly he's letting his Jets fandom get the better of him, HOWEVER, the Pats fans have been nearly unbearable at times on these boards so I can't say I really blame him

Before the game: 1. Brady is the best thing since sliced bread. All Plummer does is choke in the playoffs and throw interceptions. 2. The Patriots will stop the running game and force Plummer to make mistakes. 3. Belichick is a better coach than Shanahan. 4. Brady will use up Denver's horrible pass D. 5. The Pats have a 10 game playoff streak and STILL aren't getting respect. After the game: 1. I can't believe the Pats gave the game away with all those fumbles. 2. What were the refs thinking on that call? 3. Denver is horrible, but the Patriots played worse than I can remember. The Broncos will surely lose in a blowout next week. How about yall swollow a little pride and accept that the better team won.Seriously, what happened to, "The best team won, good luck next week." ?????

Reporter: You guys fumbled 4 times last week and recovered all of them. This week you fumbled and lost several of them. Was that a point of emphasis this week?

BB: No, we generally gameplan to fumble as often as possible you idiot!!!

(Ok, he really said "It doesn't really matter, does it?")

If the Broncos play like that against the Colts, they will lose by 3 touchdowns.

I'm not sure where the confusion is. Point to any post over the last 3 years where I've gotten into a fight with BostonFred. I've had a great relationship with him and Maxwell over the years, and we've always had great discussions. BF (and Maxwell) is one of the best and most respectful posters on these boards.

2. What were the refs thinking on that call?

3. Denver is horrible, but the Patriots played worse than I can remember. The Broncos will surely lose in a blowout next week.

How about yall swollow a little pride and accept that the better team won.

Seriously, what happened to, "The best team won, good luck next week." ?????
Denver is a good team, Pats did play worse than I could remember, and the Broncos did not show they could beat the Colts next week.

Way to go Mr Clutch - here is some more respect

14 point swing on your Bailey Interception

Way to cost your team a chance at victory

BOO HOO PAT FANS

I've followed your posts for a while now. Must be nice to finally have the chance to release your anger against the Pats.

Enjoy your moment in the sun.

ITS SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETBrady is NOT GOD

He's neither Clutch either

The Broncos played a complete game tonight. They were aggressive, and while that aggression nearly cost them a few times, they more than made up for it with Bailey's interception and the first downs while they were running the clock out. The Broncos executed well this game, and the Patriots didn't. I'm definitely looking forward to next year.

My friend and I were watching the game tonight. Every so often you'd hear the Broncos Fans at the game scream out 3 words. We must have heard it about 5-7 times. Can any Broncos fan out there tell me what the heck they are chanting?

okay guys, the more you guys laugh at Patriots fans, the more it shows how much your own team blows and how you have nothing to cheer for that you have to cheer AGAINST somebody.
