Game Thread -Divisionals-Pittsburgh V Indianapolis (1 Viewer)

Is it just me or do the Steelers just look more intense, focused and like they want it more?
Good point - and is it a reflection of their respective coaches?

Yup.Colts won't lay down and die, though...this game will be very close.
I agree. This game will go down to the wire. So far, though, the Colts pass rush is the only part of the team that has shown up.

Well, this is the kind of gameplan Cowher can use now that he has a QB capable of executing it.They're REALLY sharp today.

There's that Colt defense and special teams play we all know and hate. This is getting ugly in a hurry - bye Colts

I like the fact that Pittsburgh is sticking with throwing the ball. How many times have we seen a team jump to a lead with the pass and then piss the lead away by getting conservative with running the ball. Throwing the ball is working more than running the ball is, so the Steelers are smart to stick with it. Based on what I have seen so far, though, I think Bettis will have more success than Parker will in the running game.

Is Ben fully recovered from his knee injury? He's an excellent passer, but he's also a mobile QB. He's big and he's agile, and there are lanes for him to gain 5+ yards on some runs. Will we see him run more as the game progresses?

In the second half, assuming pitt stays up two score, It will be a miracle if Ben throws more than 10 times.

Very rarely see Manning play this poorly.2/9 for 37 yards? :confused:I'm sure he'll look like the 2-time MVP soon enough.

I keep thinking that, Chase, but then I think of all the other Colt playoff losses...I said the same thing to myself throughout all those...and it never happened.

Granted, this could be different, but I just don't see any positive signs at all.

No you usually see him play this poorly right around this time of the year.

I'm sure he will, but give some credit to the Steelers defense. They're getting great pressure and covering well.

If thats the case, It will be a mistake. They better keep the pressure on as Indy's going to break through sooner or later... (and I say this as a Steeler fan)

As long as they keep making completions, sure. But if they don't start moving the ball on the ground, the defense will get tired.

I give all the credit to the Steelers D. They look awesome right now.

That is exactly what I was thinking. It is not like they have had some good drives that have stalled or anything like that. They are doing nothing on offense. Pittsburgh is getting to Manning and the coverage downfield has been good. Odds are it will take a big pass play to get the Colts going or a big play by the defense.

Colts are getting off their game plan. 2 TDs can be made up, and your QB has timing issues.Use Edge up the middle and get some play action easy passes and open looks, maybe at Dallas Clark.
