Game Thread - PIT @ CLE (1 Viewer)

Browns so far have 6 sacks, 1 int, 2 fumbles, countless penalties, 2 QBs playing, and the first half isn't over yet.

It's going to be a long season...

Steelers offense not impressive when given anything more than the short field.
I agree. Other than a few flashes of brilliance, their O hasn't looked that great.
Just not sure about these choices:- Lots of screens to Parker who, lets be honest, is not known for his hands.- Low % plays on third and short- No attempt to control TOP (a.k.a. last few drives). That's gonna wear out the D quickly.Maybe it's just first game jitters.

The Browns are simply not ready to play. The QBs are not ready. Receivers drop passes. Defenders are not in position. The defense dropped a Ben pick on 3rd down on the drive where they got their FG. The only saving grace is that the Steelers' offense is shooting itself in the foot. Steelers' receivers are dropping passes, and the Browns are generating some pressure vs the Pittsburgh OL (which isn't a very good sign). You would think up by 3 scores, the Steelers' offense could relax and grind out some drives, but Ben is still running for his life way too much.

It'll be interesting to see how the Steelers' offense performs against an NFL-caliber team that is ready to play.

Browns are clearly in panic mode. Its obvious that not only was Charlie Frye not ready to play, but the coaching staff was unaware of this. A sure sign of disorganization is being put in a position where you change quarterbacks in the first half of week 1. They don't know what they are doing. Grantham seems to be the only one with a clue.

LOL at that idiot Clown FB doing a TD dance.

 :lmao: Hooray, we're only down by 18 now. :banned: :pickle:

That was a nice Winslow block on Clark. Winslow was big on that drive for them.

Wow. I had gone back and forth between Ben and Kitna. Started Ben and he's blowing Manning out now (my opponent).

Still like to see Parker some.

Yeah, FWP and moreso the running game has not impressed my, esp vs. a CLE run D.

If they we're playing a better D and the game was closer, I'd be uneasy from what I've seen for the run O. Everything else looks money. Sepulveda is a stud.

The just need to put the K-Train back their to open up some holes for FWP

Let the Bill Cowher countdown in Cleveland begin...
Yep. Crennel has done nothing with this franchise to warrant being free of such speculation. He's in his third year, and getting blown out at home on opening day against the bitter rival. The question is at what point would they fire Crennel in the middle of the year? Would a 1-4 start get him canned? Or 2-6?

Man those Brownie fans don't play around. Whole 4th quarter to go and that stadium is about 15% full. Probably more Stiller fans there now than Brownie fans!!! :goodposting:

This is like a college rivalry. Lloyd Carr can't beat the Wolverines and now he's getting tons of heat from fans. Its like that. If you are the coach of the Browns, and you can't beat the Steelers, if you are getting blown out by the Steelers, you aren't long for the job.
