Game Thread PL1 - Dallas V Seattle (3 Viewers)

I officially hate the Cowboys. The refs ####### suck tonight
 When did they Suck
that spot sucked and some of the other calls but nothing terrible
quit crying, the spot was correct--it was obvious it was not a 1st down
nobodys cryin the spot wasnt good but that didnt decide the game
As a raider fan I'm used to seeing those calls, no way was there conclusive replay to change that spot. That said Dallas was not guarenteed to score.
I dont know why they didnt just pound Barber I would have rather took my chances with him than Grammatica
 YOu think its easier to convert a 4th and 1 than make an extra point?

Angle is weird on TV, so I'll give that to you on the Witten call - it def. looked to me like the ball was over the one, but the camera angle is a bit high looking down and I am not standing on the field.

Barber was pretty money from short yardage tonight.

I just looked at the Glenn "catch" again - that was no catch. You can't maintain possession of a ball on the ground withyour hands on top of it. His "football move" was to almost fall down and balance himself with his hands on top of the ball.No catch. The refs sucked in this game.
You are not serious? Silly dallas fans, keep crying. That was a catch and the refs got it right totally---always next year with your new coach.
He's not a Dallas fan! He's a Dolphins fan for Christ sakes. Just terrible Marc. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Just saw the Witten catch again - forward progress, ball was over the one yard line, but he was dragged back so that the ball was behind the one yard marker. Two bad calls that decided the game.
Hardly. He never got even close to being at let alone crossing the one.Aside from being close, this was another ugly game. SEA should get creamed in their next game unless it's against somebody like the Gints.PS way to almost screw up that last play SEA......all they needed was a high booming punt which would've ended the time. Or I thought about this, why not have Hass. throw a ball and long and high as he can? By the time the balls lands incomplete, game's over.

Romo is going to have nightmares every night until training camp. Carrie Underwood is going to have her work cut out for her.

well after that, Yes I say lay it on the line they wouldnt have stopped him

Congrats, Seahawks fans!! Now if you could all throw some mojo the NY Giants way, it would be much appreciated!

Anyone notice that if Gramatica puts a little more effort into his block, Romo does not get tackled from behind and gets the 1st down easy if not scores. Even after the Sea D player picked up the ball the little Kicker made damn sure he wouldnt be the one having to make a tackle.

Ok, so not only could it have been first down for Dallas and the game is over...but then Dallas has an extra point length field goal to put them ahead...only to have Romo misplay a decent snap...only to have Romo pick up the ball and get the first down, or better yet score a touchdown...or not, and get stepped by a great tackle from behind.

That was truly an incredible sequence of events.

Great game, both teams are pretty average. Hasselbeck is one of the most overrated QBs in the league & Dallas' secondary really hampers them. I can't see the winner of the NYG/PHI getting to the NFC title game, either. A NOS/CHI matchup is just about a lock, IMO.

Parcells press conference on NFL network right now.

He's done.

Edit: My unprofessional opinion, of course.

Yes sir. Saw it. Blame Romo. Blame Gramatica. Blame Glenn. Whatever we do, there's plenty of blame to be shared by the cowboys. (We can even blame SEA for the kick return TD that made their losing possible.)

The rookie got too much pub, too much accolades to handle it. Parcells knew what was happening and tried to play it down. Romo could not handle it and the last few games and tonight showed it.

With those defensvie backs most QBs would have ripped them up, but there was not enough faith in Romo, the play calling showed that.

Now Seattle goes to the NFC championship, they will beat the Bears, because that defense is not as good at it was and Grossman will choke as well.

Congrats, Seahawks fans!! Now if you could all throw some mojo the NY Giants way, it would be much appreciated!
Oh I'm a big Giants fan tomorrow. HUGE! GO GIANTS, or whatever you guys say. Seattle WILL BEAT the Saints. Book it.
I would be shocked if they do but I guess anything is possible
In the NFC playoffs, NFC = No F###ing ClueIn the Super Bowl, NFC = No F###ing Chance

Seattle will not be playing Seattle, they will be in Chicago as Philly is going to beat NYG.
 I would be shocked if Seattle played Seattle in the second round.

We could use the fans, so, thanks. Also, we could use a head coach, offensive coordinator, outside linebacker, safety, 2nd WR, an increase in Eli's passing accuracy rating ala Madden, a piano falling on Brian Westbrook before the game and Andy Reid leaving his play book at home and just drawing stuff up on his hand. Can you help with that?

Why would you say that (besides that you're a homer)?Saints are better than Seattle across the board.
I hope we'll see. I seriously don't think the Saints will win a playoff game no matter who they play.

That was about as big a choke job as you can get by BILL PARCELLS and his Cowboys.

I love Tony Romo...

Keep reading those press clippings kid.

Did it look like that ball on the failed field goal appeared to be soaked in silicone a few hours? I've never seen a football that shiny in my life.

.....and let's not forget who REALLY lost this game for the Cowboys: Terry Glenn.

This finish was almost as good as the regular season game against the Skins, when Dallas had there Fg blocked Taylor picks up the Ball, get faced masked, gets them in FG range 1 untimed down and Novak makes 1 of his 2 of 9 fg's to win!!!!!!!!

You forgot to add something about Brian Dawkins getting locked in a john in the lockerroom

Agreed. Parcells should not have been holding for that last FG attempt.

I think I'd rather watch that than see Chicago on the field at all.

No they won't. It's actually impossible but I'd rather play the Saints than the Bears.
What position do you play?

I could have sworn I read this somewhere before.
