Ravens positives: Every major Ravens offensive player was involved, which is nice to see. I think by far the most typed line in these threads last year was "Is Heap (or McGahee, or Rice, or Clayton) playing?". The offensive line played well & think is quickly becoming one of the best, most athletic in the NFL - though they started to tire in the 2nd half from all of the passes IMO. Flacco looked great - for the most part (see below for the rest). Rice was very good, and McGahee scored twice. Heap & Mason were both involved early, and Clayton came on late. The D looked sharp to me, though they didn't make many big plays.
Ravens negatives: I think Flacco got a little too happy with his arm because he was throwing the ball so well early. He made some ill-advised passes in the 2nd half ( the INT to DJ still has me scratching my head). Far be it from me to question him, but Cam's game plan was strange. It's obvious they saw something that made them want to throw a million times (& to pick on that one CB), but I'd like to see a little more balance. The D's lack of big plays isn't good, but they looked like they were keeping it pretty vanilla all day. I think my biggest nit to pick is more an overall thing from both last year & now this season - the mediocrity (or worse) of the Ravens' Special Teams, the lack of big plays, and it seems they give up more than their share. I know Harbaugh coached STs in Philly, but I've seen very little inprovement in that area since he's been here.
