Game Thread W1 - Dallas at New York Jets (1 Viewer)

Serious question and not related to my FF team. Every time they show Revis he has a hold of someone. Is that not defensive holding when it is past 5 yards? I mean you don't actually have to be clutching someone's arm or jersey do you? It would seem the arm bar is just as much a hold.

I can not stand romos favre #### anymore. He's a dummy. Rob ryan had that D playing tough but romo couldn't. Just play conservative. Its hard being a fan these days. This one was painfull.

Overall, I love how they played. They came out and punched the Jets in the mouth. A team everyone had contending for the championship. Outside of the obvious meltdown teams better take notice. Witten, Ware, Spencer, Lee, Jenkins, Bryant, Austin they all played well. They surprised me as I'm not expecting much from them this year. They even look motivated, if the game is a turning point in the right direction and a lesson for them to learn then I'll take it. :football:

Yes, that should be PI. Not sure why Revis is allowed to get away with it so much. Maybe he hides it better than most.

Time Kibitz,It's the mindset he has, it's too flakey and that's also how he protects the football. You don't fumble at the 1 yard line with a 7 point lead, you don't throw to a gimped up WR with the best CB in the league on him, and with 8 seconds left in the game down by 3, you don't laugh after a botched snap to take the clock down to 3 seconds. I'm very surprised you don't get that.
But at least he has the balls to face the field and watch his team lose.

Romo certainly looked like a dufus but he wasn't alone in losing this one. Also very unfortunate for Dallas the injuries they had...crap Felix Jones getting hurt right before the 3rd and 1 play late was pretty big. Dallas was able to fight off their old selves for most of the game but they reverted back the 4th quarter.Jets are lucky to get the win. Their inability to run the ball has to be alarming. Very entertaining game for many reasons.

He did it all night, but if they don't call it.................why stop?

On Revis Island NFL rules do not apply. He somehow was given an exemption from all defensive penalties in order to allow him to clutch, grab, and otherwise mug every WR he covers anywhere on the field he feels so inclined to do so with absolute impunity.

:goodposting: He wasnt alone either. All the DBs, on both sides, were being allowed to play it tight.

Yet we had 700 yds of passing offense.

Yep...but several of those bigger plays were unreal catches, and MANY of the yards came on crossing patterns aginst LBs. Sanchez got a lot of his yards later n the game aginst Cowboy backup DBs. Simple stats (like total passing yards or rushing yards) can be misleading. Both defenses played tough.

Gratz to Jets fans on the win on such a historic night.
What's the historic part? Are you referencing the first ever time Dallas lost a game with a lead of 14+ in the 4th Q?
Really?
Let's not be drama queens about stuff. OK?
Today is really not a day you should be a troll. Good win for the Jets, but a lot of work to do. Sanchez, IMO, will be much better than last year, which is what is needed at this point for them to continue to grow.

I get the bolded, what I don't get is the part after. I don't see how getting angry and yelling at people solves anything. Yelling at the center isn't going to give them another shot to re-do the play.

Nah -- certainly wouldn't want to overdo the remembrance of a major historical event that occurred in the recent past. It's only what every broadcast today opened with.

Yeah, it was nauseating.

Nice win for the Jets. Saw good and bad Sanchez displayed. The Jets run D will be excellent as usual, Cro will still be picked on, and the pass rush looked a bit better than in the past but nothing special. I do think the Cowboys will be quite good this year though.
