Game Thread W10 - Kansas City V San Diego (1 Viewer)

So what are the chances that Thigpen is a legit QB of the future for KC. I saw him a few weeks ago vs the Jets and the kid looked really good, very poised.

Chiefs are basically running the spread offense with LJ out. If Herm would let them run this style offense then I think he has a shot. This is the same type of offense the ran at Coastal Carolina which is why Herm allow Chan Gailey to incorporate it into the game plan. The power running game is not feasible with Charles or Savage as our back.

Natives are getting restless as Rivers throws another poor pass on 3rd Down. They have also wasted a timeout when they couldn't get a play off in time. The Chargers are looking out of it and they need a Defensive stand here to prove they want to be here today.

LT show on this drive.

ETA - Sproles gives LT a break and runs a 10 yarder up the middle

KC gets the ball back and Charles is back in at RB. Thigpen is locking in on Gonzo - could come back to bite him. Another 3 and out.

Rivers call TO again at line - comes back and gets hit and lofts up a duck. Luckily Gates grabs the KC defender ankle or else it is 6 for KC.

Savage now running.

This is one of the most inconsistent offenses in the league. One week they click on all cylinders and crush their opponent, another week they struggle to get in the end zone.

Somehow Rivers goes over 300 yards - might be one of the more ugly ways to get there that I've seen in a while.

ETA - TD Rivers to Gates.

San Diego is utter trash. Hard to list how many injuries KC has right now, and for it to be anywhere near this much of a game is downright embarrassing for the Chargers. Literally scrub street FAs all over the field for KC -- RB, both DEs, two LBs, all CBs other than fifth-round pick Brandon Carr.

Yikes.

:goodposting: Not to mention the QB who was 3rd string at the beginning of the year on one of the worst NFL teams with their first string being none other than Huard

Ha, funny. What'll be even funnier is if they do tie it we can all chuckle at the the 2 pt conversion they failed to convert after the second TD they scored. Still don't understand that call.

On page one I explained - it happened on a botched snap. Holder tried to get a throw off. It was not a designed two point try.

Ah ha, missed that post. Well, now that makes sense. Was baffled at why they'd go for a 2 pt conversion then. Thanks drew.
