wayHoly smoke, announcers just said that KC might go for 2. Come on, no way!
Not even a littleHas Herm ever been a good coach?
Me and Gus Johnson. What broadcasting team is making the call for this game?
Playing for the #1 draft pick...going for 2 here is a tell that the chiefs have given up this year and are just playing for fun
Thanks man At one point I think it was Mean Gene Okerlund and Bobby the Brain Heenan. I wasn't sure what I was listening toMe and Gus Johnson. What broadcasting team is making the call for this game?
you don't play to just play it . . .YOU PLAY TO LOSE THE GAME!
Yeah, he was only at 65% with three TDs on the game against that terrible Chargers defense. Some hilarious after-the-fact posting here. With KC's awful defense the ONLY decision was to go for it. As for officiating, that PI call is the least the refs could give KC after screwing them all game. GUARANTEED some of you fools are all "wow, what a brave and awesome call" if Jammer doesn't mug Gonzalez and the Chiefs win 21-20.no way you go for that with Thigpen as the QB . . .
whatever . . . that is TREMENDOUS pressure on a green QB regardless of what he did the whole game . . . he looked like a deer in the headlights on that play . . .I said what I wrote before the play, and I wasn't surprised in the least when he did his trash truck backpedal . . .try again . . .Yeah, he was only at 65% with three TDs on the game against that terrible Chargers defense. He ran the play as called, and threw it to the only guy (of two) who had any chance of coming down with it. You don't seem to understand how football works.he looked like a deer in the headlights on that play . . .

the guy he threw it to had NO chance of catching it - last time I checked there is usually more than one option on any given passing play . . .keep trying, maybe you will have a cogent point before the night is up . . .He ran the play as called, and threw it to the only guy (of two) who had any chance of coming down with it. that rule doesn't apply to green quarterbacks . . .Isnt it an unwritten rule you go for the win on the road, and a tie at home? just sayin
Almost as funny: did anybody catch Herm starting to walk to midfield the postgame handshake after the try for two failed? He got 15 yards out on the field and then realized there were still 21 seconds left in the game. Herm makes me laugh.YOU PLAY TO LOSE THE GAME!
I dunno about that. The play called for Thigpen to roll out right & he was dang near on the sideline when he threw it. Only two targets for him were Gonzo & Bradley & with the routes they ran they were within 5 feet of each other & of course had defenders everywhere. Not many QB's have the kind of arm where they can throw it across their body opposite to the way they're running all the way back across the field.Just an all around badly designed play if you ask me.the guy he threw it to had NO chance of catching it - last time I checked there is usually more than one option on any given passing play . . .keep trying, maybe you will have a cogent point before the night is up . . .He ran the play as called, and threw it to the only guy (of two) who had any chance of coming down with it. It seems KC homers, the ones who know the team best, are the only ones defending the decision -- well them and Chris Berman and Trent Dilfer. Tom Jackson just used it to show his bias against KC.As I said in another thread, this decision cannot be judged in a vacuum. The Jacket said:Yeah, he was only at 65% with three TDs on the game against that terrible Chargers defense.
