Game Thread W11 - Indianapolis V Chicago (1 Viewer)

These complaints that Manning is "greedy" are ridiculous. If you can score at will by passing the ball, you should pass the ball! You play the game to WIN. Scoring TDs lets you win the game.

Don't have him, from a non FF view...this is getting rediculouis the way they are having him just score score score.
Edited for accuracyThe Colts are on their way to a 7-3 record. As long as they're winning, the whiners will be the ones who are considered selfish...not Manning.

You are right. But there's also a greedy way to win, and Peyton is the perfect example of it.

PEYTON, GIVE THE **** BALL TO EDGE INSIDE THE 10.Give me a break. He's greedy and going after the record. There's no doubt about it whatsoever.
To all those complaining about Manning not giving the ball to Edge inside the 10 explain to me How many times today they had it inside the 10.Here I'll help by posting the scoring from nfl.com1ST QUARTER TD Marcus Pollard, 14 Yd pass from Peyton Manning (Mike Vanderjagt kick is good), 9:05. Drive: 10 plays, 73 yards in 4:30. FG Paul Edinger 51 Yd, 2:12. Drive: 7 plays, 39 yards in 3:44.2ND QUARTER TD Reggie Wayne, 35 Yd pass from Peyton Manning (Mike Vanderjagt kick is good), 14:04. Drive: 6 plays, 71 yards in 3:08. FG Mike Vanderjagt 34 Yd, 10:56. Drive: 6 plays, 13 yards in 2:32. TD Marvin Harrison, 10 Yd pass from Peyton Manning (Mike Vanderjagt kick is good), 5:41. Drive: 2 plays, 13 yards in 0:43.

Im an Edge owner and Im not gonna complain about Manning throwing tds, but, I would love nothing more than to see this guy take a pounding one of these weeks. I wanna see a defense get in his face all day and just put an absolute pounding on him

The Colts haven't been on the Goal line forever.

Heck last week when everyone was crying about Manning.... Does anyone even realize that the Colts didn't take a SINGLE offensive snap in the second half on the Houston side of the Field!?!?!

The Colts are scoring from outside of the Goal line.

As long as the Colts are scoring, and Manning is getting it done, I really wish all these guys that don't even watch Colts games would stop whining and crying. :hot:

If they give it to him here I'll shut up about Peyton forever.EDIT - Nope. Peyton is selfish. He wanted 4 TDs by halftime.

They are completely abandoning the run game when they have a legit RB. Whereas Marino had NOTHING in the backfield. Its one thing to play to win, its another to play for 1 players record.

Was it me, or did Harrison look pretty pissed after his TD?No celebration, no high-fives for Manning, just threw the ball away in disgust and went to the sidelines.

HOW do the Bears not cover Harrison? And I realize the Bears offense is bad, but since when did the Indy defense turn into the Baltimore defense? This game is the definition of mixed feelings for me.First of all, I am a Bears fan :bag: Who is starting Manning on 2 of my 3 teams :excited: But am going against Manning in my third league  Where I started Pollard and Harrison and James.

Agreed, He might have been pissed at himself for dropping that ball though.

you mean like last week when edge made a tremendous 28-30 yd run to the 1 yard line (he almost scored, hitting the pylon) and they rewarded him with a TD pass on first down? let's tell the whole story if you're gonna chime in.

I'm sorry, this is a stupid statement. James has 15 carries in the first half!!!How is that abandoning the run?I agree with what was posted earlier; if throwing translates into wins...do it...but they are running the ball as well...

Going into the half now.....Colts 27 Bears 3HALFSome early opportunities (Lance Briggs' dropped INT, Todd Johnson failing to get down on the Indy fumble) followed by a flurry of turnovers. The Bears defense didn't do enough to stop Manning and the Colts offense, but the offense was clearly the problem. Krenzel looks like a chicken cut his head off....Jones didn't play too badly at all, but there's no help coming from the O-Line (Kruetz 3 first half penalites), Krenzel or the Wide Receivers.

Yea!!!!!!!That POS Manning audibles out of a running play, 1st and goal and throws a pick in the end zoneI f'n hate Manning with such a passion........Anybody that doesnt think he is deliberately passing for the record is either lying or clueless

1-7-CHI 7 (12:24) (No Huddle, Shotgun) P.Manning pass intended for B.Stokley INTERCEPTED by N.Vasher at CHI -2. N.Vasher to CHI 28 for 30 yards (J.Saturday). :D :D :D :D :D

Finally, an Interception by the Bears!Big play!too bad it's 27-3 Colts, and the Bears still have to drive 40 or 50 yards just for a FG attempt.

I feel it. This drive, Edge will get a TD here.....CRAP. Another Wayne TD?!? You're up 27-3!!1 LoL. My bad.
