Game Thread W11 - New England V Buffalo (2 Viewers)

Time for the Pats run up the score thread...if they were playing really nice, they would have let Lee Evans have that catch without a challenge....they're a bunch of meanies.

they may in fact be the best team i've ever seen, at least to this point in the season. however, i have to think that their tendency to rely on the pass will come back to bite them in the winter weather at foxboro. home-field DISadvantage??
They don't seem to have much depth there. Rumor has it though that BB is building a weather dominating device on his secret invisible island in Boston Harbor that will push the bad weather back until the SuperBowl.
boston harbor? they paly in foxboro which is no where near boston. but thanks.

 We are witnessing the greatest team in not only NFL history, but all of American sports history. This really is something to behold.
Globetrotters down?
Good comparison, but even the Globetrotters weren't undefeated. :lmao:
You're actually being serious about this Globetrotters-Patriots comparison?
After losing to the Washington Generals in 1962, the Harlem Globetrotters only lost two more games in the next 38 years (12,596 games). Usually they played a "stooge" team owned by Red Klotz
:tfp:
When I see Tom Brady and Bill Belichek in a Scooby Doo Cartoon I'll put them up there with the Globetrotters. Needless to say, they have some work to do.

Serious question: if this team had an average QB, NOT Tom Brady, how good would they be? Suppose they had Philip Rivers or Jay Cutler? Would they still be a winning team?
The O-Line is disgustingly good. The protection they offer Brady is phenomenal. Not to discount what Brady has done this year, but a average QB would look very good behind that line. Brady being an awesome QB he looks godlike behind that line.
There aren't many QBs who would be able to take advantage of this line the way Brady does. Pick a drive and just watch him around in the pocket for a little bit, it's really pretty impressive to see how he always seems to be moving away from the pass rush while still looking upfield.

Brady's pocket presence is unbelievable. That run he had near the goalline he had 2 defenders grab at his shoulder pads and he was stilling looking downfield as if there was nobody around him.

That's why it's such a genius move to build an invisible island there.

You obviously don't know how powerful BB's device is. It can control the weather for the entire northeast by manipulating the jet stream and ocean temperatures. And for the record, Foxboro isn't all that far from Boston...

I just assumed all of the New England faithful would form a massive human dome over Foxboro before every game when the weather started getting cold.
We'll actually be performing mass human sacrifice to the Winter Gods to ward off the cold weather.
:jawdrop: I thought you guys already did this?

They play in foxboro, but the invisible island is in boston harbor. Don't you know anything about Boston sports?

:jawdrop: Why the hell would he build it near the Stadium

There were zoning issues with putting the weather dominating device there, so it had to go in the harbor. Belichick's army of evil android refs is kept in Foxboro, though.

um for the record it is.

So the Bills defense stepped it up alot this year. Now they're 3 yards away from the WRs that Brady is throwing to. What gives... So much for hoping they can pull another Cowboys type game.

The only way Bellichick's in that cartoon is as the grumpy caretaker disguised as a monster. "That was no Sea Witch! It's Bill Bellichick, the caretaker!""Yeah, and I would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for the NY Jets, er, I mean you nosy kids!"

Kevin Faulk questionable to return with a head injury of some sort. Andrea Kremer thinks that Maroney's going to be on the field more on third downs, which seems reasonable.

I don't call a 30-40 minute ride far away. But hey, that's just one man's opinion.

The Globetrotters were nearly unbeatable. Had the league let them in they would have been the best ever.
You are joking, right? The Globetrotters were the basketball equivalent of professional wrestling.
 Put down the pipe.
Wow, you're actually serious! :jawdrop:  :loco:

From 1953 until 1995, the Generals played kayfabe exhibitions against the Globetrotters, winning only six games, the last in 1971, and losing more than 13,000
Kayfabe = fake. It was all scripted.

Now really, this game is over at this point. Is there any reason to have the starters in there? You're just begging for a Brady or Moss injury.

Please feel free to paste this post if Buffalo comes anywhere close to 28 points tonight.

It's over Johnny.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot, the Patriots have this insatiable need for records. My bad.
