Game Thread W11 - New York Giants V Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

Nicks was open for a big gain on that last play, if Eli could have just gotten the ball there...

But the whistle gets players to stop playing.

Thats whats supposed to happen: that players who could have made an attempt at the ball (or light someone up with a block) dont continue on with the play.
READ THE RULES. The recovery was immediately after the whistle, and was clear...no Giants player could have or would have recovered. Seriously dude...this one's a no brainer, and has been specified in the rules for a couple of years now.

Way too close for comfort. Eagles dominated the first half - but got too many 3s, not enough 7s.....

and then the Giants adjusted well at halftime and took advantage of turnovers and chances. Eagles battled back and finished well, but that was way too close for a game that should have been a 17-pt advantage or more at the half.

Great game by Maclin and fantastic call on 4th/1 toss to McCoy.

Feeling better about our D though (aside from Asante's return skills) and Bradley was looking better this game especially.O-line was looking alot better in the first half but suspect again after the Giants halftime adjustments, what changed?

Wasn't this one of a couple of tweaks that came out of Hochuli blowing the call opening weekend 2008? Cutler fumble called incomplete pass...no one else was there except the Chargers defender...ref just had a brain cramp knew what had happened and the dyslexic thing and blew whistle called it incomplete and it wasn't reviewable.Different situation tonight but the principle that renesauz is citing is correct it came up halfway through the off-season 2008-09.
