2025 Philadelphia Eagles - It might be time to put Patullo on “Is he Press Taylor or Brian Johnson” watch. (64 Viewers)

So lame for the league to say the ejection was his suspension.

Just own it and say he spit on a guy with the game on a national stage and he was ejected but got no suspension.
I thought it made sense actually, because so many were yelling for a suspension. And historically early ejections are considered as suspensions for purposes of evaluating further discipline. They could have explained it BETTER, but this was absolutely in line with precedent (unless you believe he deserved TWO games, which I'd argue is unreasonable for the given action and lack of prior issues in the NFL

Eagles secondary is a mess, and I think Mahomes will find ways to take advantage of it at times, but I don't think he has the horses to do so consistently. Meanwhile I don't think KC has many answers for the Eagles offense. I expect a relatively close mid range scoring game, something like 27-21 Philly

No, I was thinking just the ejection and no suspension was the right call. Instead, they tried to sound like they did more with the suspension. Was just surprised as the league usually doesn't waffle like this.

Haha The Packers Crowd last night

"Thank You Jerry! Thank you Jerry"

You think about the Cowboys more than I do and I’ve been a fan for longer than youve been alive
Hey man hows the temp today. Did you also go in the Packers thread and tell their fans about their fans?

It’s been perfect for a cpl weeks. 50-75 or so and sunny.

I haven’t noticed any Pack fans that post like you do

Its over bro

Of course. It was clearly decided when the league handed down the decision. I was commenting on how the language and waffling. Those things live on.

Good I’m a 1 of 1 that’s why you guys love me so much.

Heat wave out here finally came and went

I think Spagnuolo tries to combine some of what DAL did in coverage against our WRs with the same focus KC had in SB59 on stopping Saquon, which itself will be a bit easier having Calcaterra run blocking instead of "Gothurt".

So it will be up to Hurts, again, to come through with his arm and legs.

I'm fascinated with this game.

Kansas City looked bad, and got worse with injury Friday. But maybe that's Los Angeles?

I was surprised how tough Dallas played Eagles after being rolled by them last year. Not sure if that says more about Dallas or Philadelphia.

Will be interesting.

Eagles have a much better roster than KC. Kansas City has a better coaching staff.

I think it's Eagles by 10.

Week 1 is weird because of starters not playing in preseason. Add in a new OC and the two top receiving threats battling injuries, and we got what we got on offense. And the defense suffers mightily with no Carter. So I take pretty much nothing from that game.

No longer a “Super Team” but yeah it’s a really good roster.

Especially when Jalen Carter is playing.

KC is gonna have a rough year methinks

Super Bowl hangover and all (do we still say this?)

Both teams are trying to get their sea legs early in the season.

Neither team looked like they just played in the Super Bowl just 7 months ago.

Both Olines had major problems last week. But, both Olines should grade out better over the course of the year.

Nick/Kellen put Jalen in a position to dominate a Spags’ D in LIX. This game will look different. Patullo has to stop trying to run 12/13 personnel to run the ball, especially with Goedert out. Calcaterra was abysmal run blocking, and if they try to run heavy personnel, Spags will feat by dialling up blitzes from everywhere.

Philly’s D is miles away from the Super Bowl right now. I have faith they will be a top 10 D midseason, but they are gonna struggle for a while. With Worthy out, does KC have the talent to pick on Jackson? Sort of. If KC wins, it’ll be on Mahomes’ arm: finding JuJu and Brown, and some big plays by Thornton and Remigio. I think there’ll be some frustrating plays by the D, but ultimately Philly wins a close one.

Philly: 27
KCC: 24

I don't think Hollywood or J.J. are much to worry about and Mahomes can only do so much by himself. I'm not sure about Kelce anymore. Father Time is catching up, but I think he still has enough in the tank to dominate the occasional game. Plus, with a rookie in the Birds LB core, Kelce will find those seams and lackluster coverage. It's a Kelce and Mahomes show today, but that's not enough to slow the Eagles O down.

Eagles 30 Chiefs 24

Ruled out or inactive today

Dallas Goedert, Will Shipley, Tanner McKee, Drew Kendall, Azeez Ojulari, and Ogbo Okoronkwo

After seeing NYG light up that DAL secondary today and the struggle we’re having scheming guys open against a not great KC one, Kevin Patullo may be emerging as a big liability.

Through 6 quarters this year: 1 pass completion of 20+ yards (the bomb to Dotson last week.) And Hurts isn’t dinking and dunking. He’s been standing in the pocket with plenty of time but no one open.

I made my concerns known when he was named OC. People in this exact thread said we’d be fine

Was out of town last few days and listened to the game on the radio on the drive home. Seems like Defense played very well most of the game....but how do you give up a 50 yard TD late when tying to kill clock and up two scores....that's concerning. BUt they held on to win while not yet firing on all cylinders on the road against what should be a good team (I believe KC steps back and WAS over-rated, but not to the point of even average, that's still a 10-11 win team that will be in the playoff hunt). Somewhat concerned about the offense but we've had a week one and a good KC defense on the road. Not a great deal of confidence in judging things yet

I imagine Patullo has a bit of a learning curve these first few games, as any rookie would. I thought today's play calling was a bit conservative but I'm okay with that. Spags is a multi-SB winning DC. It was a good, honest win. Zero turnovers.

Bring on the Rams.

Kevin Patulo needs to step his game up quick. This is starting to look worse than Brian Johnson 2023.

Defense is on fire though (sans Q late deep touchdown allowed to a seventh string WR)

Playing against the 2-0 Rams should be a good gauge on how good this defense really is should be a fun game

The offense is giving me 2023 vibes. They're winning, but you can see something is off and eventually, it will catch up to them. I'm not sure why a team with Super Bowl aspirations would give the keys to the offense to a guy who has never done it before.

Maybe smelling themselves too much "Hey we just won the Super Bowl, they said we have a SUPER TEAM" and maybe started believing that garbage

I sure hope not, bc this s*** needs to be fixed asap, schedule just starting to get "fun"

i agree. not a fan of this OC so far

2023 Offense is exactly what I was thinking last night after the game.

What in the name of all that is holy is Patullo’s fascination with running heavy personnel with Calcaterra and Granson? Even with Goedert, the only blocking TE we have?!?!

Nick should never, ever be allowed to pick his O coordinators ever again.

To be fair since we win the SB it was slim pickings. I really think if you’re a playoff team that by week before the SB if you are in the SB should be allowed for your team to conduct coaching interviews. I also think the team losing a guy should get some sort of draft compensation like a Comp pick or something following year and round dependent on how good the coach who left new team did.
