saw that.. He'll get his butt chewed out. He walked.. sad.

All I know is that he's one of very few athletes/celebrities that I can tell my son, "that's the kind of person you want to be."

I really enjoy watching Tebow and the Broncos play like this.

For one, it was high time for some NFL offenses to go "old school" to the wishbone and option. Defenses have been getting lighter and speedier and soft; it's a good changeup, and it can work.

For two, he believes and his team believes, and they're showing that that's 90% of the battle. It was similar with Kurt Warner, even though Warner is undoubtedly more skilled. I'm sick of watching teams quit or save their bodies in "business decisions." You see how hard McGahee and Ball and Johnson were running today, and how well the defense played? That's Tebow's influence.

 I recorded the game and just watched it again. Wilkerson could have been running as if his life depended on it, and he still had NO prayer of coming near Tebow. I'm the first one to call players out for dogging it, but you're singling out the wrong guy here.EDIT: Wait a second. Is it possible you are referring to #97 near the goal line? He DID quit on the play.

I see what you did there. :hifive:

Not so sure about 97, either. He was lined up on the opposite side of the field and started off rushing. Once Tebow took it outside, 97 did take a bad angle, but it's tough to put the blame on him.

This.Oh, and dirty sanchez is not very good. he tries to force-feed it to Plax on dam near every pass and it bit him.

John Fox's expression after the TD was priceless. It was like "I can't believe we're going to win this way again". Pretty sure he's a believer by now.

Von Miller is one of the most dominant rookie defensive players I've seen in a long time... Aside from maybe Suh, I can't think of another rookie defender in recent history who has been this dominant. He looks like a man among boys at times, and that is exactly what people were saying about Suh last season. Barring injury, he has to be a lock for DROY. Ryan Kerrigan has been very good for the Skins, but he is not on the same level as Miller.

And with Dumervil finally healthy and once again playing at a high level, these two are going to give opposing QB's hell for the rest of the season, and hopefully for years to come.

Just wanted to add that Rex Ryan just said he was furious at the guy on the outside there because his job was strictly to keep contain on the outside left. They had the absolute most perfect defensive playcall imaginable on there. The guy on the outside just messed it up.
I believe that was the Red Sea defense that the Jets implemented there. -QG
an unfathomably poor call on d there. you can get a sack anyway. their td equity is miniscule if you play normal d. if they get the first they are running it into the line twice anyway. not leaving a stalker on tebow is almost like asking for defeat. ima believer tho. never doubted tebow would salvage an acceptable fantasy day.

17 pts from the Broncos D/ST. Heh.
KFFL picked them as a sleeper. Just saw it (don't have them anyway but good call~)Real interesting quote from them (via RTSports) which I just read from John Fox:

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox stated that he will do whatever it takes with QB Tim Tebow in the offense to put the team in a situation to win games, including running the ball 55 times against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10. 'Do whatever the hell it takes,' Fox laughed. 'I mean, what the hell? You don't get points for style in this league. Let me tell you something: My man is really good in this offense. You know what I mean? If we were trying to run a regular offense, he'd be screwed.'

Source: KFFL.com
This was before the game. Of course--then they added the following analysis:
Fantasy Impact: Fox states the truth. You have to think teams will catch up to this offense in a hurry, though.
Wonder if they thought that would be the Jets?!! :lmao: Sure do love his game but probably going to drop him if Palmer shows well again this week--Tebow's averaging 10 fewer fantasy points than last year.

Well, to be fair, the Jets pretty much did stop it... for 55 minutes anyway. Denver did next to nothing offensively (3 offensive points) prior to their final drive. Tebow had just 11 yards rushing prior to the fourth quarter.

Good point. Reminds me of NC State's 'Cardiac Kids'

Saw that. After a moment to reflect he looked less than thrilled. The Denver management is riding a tiger right now. You just know they had plans for drafting a prototype QB to build around next year. Now what?

It's kind of crazy to watch this happen. Denver wants to win, but at the same time wants a prototype QB, but at the same time want to show they're "giving Tebow a chance".

In other news, Mark Sanchez should commit seppuku.

Denver has been fortunate to have been playing against lousy offenses, so they are still in the game by the time Tebow wakes up.
You sure the defense isn't playing better because they aren't on the field most of the time every week? That defense is playing with legs in the 4th quarter now.
Let's compare some stats between tonight, and the week 1 loss to Oakland under Orton, that will supply an answer to your question:Denver Time of possession:* Today: 27:48* Week 1: 27:25Denver 3rd conversions:* Today: 3 of 13, 23%* Week 1: 6 of 13, 46%Denver 1st downs* Today: 11* Week 1: 25Scoring drives by offense:* Today: 1 touchdown (Defense 1 TD and 1 FG)* Week 1: 1 touchdown, 1 FG. (Special teams 1 TD, defense 1 FG)So under Tebow time of possession is almost identical. Converted 3rd downs half as often. Gained less than half as many 1st downs.
check the turnovers. the one that sticks in my craw is when Orton flat out dropped the ball - unforced fumble. That was ballgame right there.Say what you want about Tebow and his throwing prowess (or lack thereof), but the dude takes care of the ball.
This.Lowest INT% of all starting NFL QBs (.8%)Only 1 fumble despite having the 3rd most carries by a QB. Top 3 in starting QBs in TD% (7 in 125 attempts).Under Orton, the Broncos were -5 in turnover ratio. The only week in the first 5 that the Broncos actually won the turnover battle was the game they pulled Orton (who had already thrown 1 INT) and put in Tebow.Since then, the Broncos have lost the turnover battle only once - non consequentially, the only loss for Tebow as a starter (they were -3 in that game). Despite the one awful game, they are +1 overall since Tebow took over as starter. While everyone wants to talk about a lot of other issues, protecting the ball in the NFL is huge - and Tebow does it with flying colors.
