Game Thread W11 - Tampa Bay V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

I love it when Green Bay starts out on defense because they get the ball first in the 2nd half.

 
Rodgers with a beautiful back-shoulder throw but, what do you know, James Jones drops the ball.

This year he's been catching about 80%. He has turned that around. BJ Raji TD. Soon teams may have to go for it on 4th down in the 1st and 2nd quarters.
 
I knew I should have started Raji at RB this week especially after McCarthy said they need to cut back on his defensive playing time!! :rolleyes:

There is no quarterback rating penalty for sacks but there is for throwing it away. It's is one of his goals (seriously) to retire with the highest rating ever and it is a known reason he takes a few more sacks than he needs to. Hopefully sometime in the future they will change the QB rating system so it costs more to take a sack than throw it away!!
 
TB needs to give the ball to Blount. He is still one of their best play makers whether they are trailing in a game or not.

 
Packers need a killer instinct-this reminds of the last time they let Tampa hang around and lost. Come on Rodgers put them away. Don't let them even think they can win this game.

Talk to the pathetic defense that has let them convert 3rd and long a couple times.

Buck or Aikman made a comment that Green Bay surprisingly runs the ball a lot more than folks think...really? Starks/Grant= 6 carries in the 1st half, Rodgers 18 pass attempts. The worst combo in the booth just never ceases to amaze me.

It's kind of true. People probably expect them to be 30th or something in attempts but they're actually 18th.

When they are ahead 38-7 in the 3rd Quarter it's not that surprising. What is the pass/run ratio in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, I would be real curious.
 
As far as the running numbers go, look at the total number of rushes and how many has Rodgers had? Take 75% of Rodgers' runs and move them to the passing category to make up for scrambling on pass plays. The ratios may be up to the 65/35 range then. :shrug:
