Game Thread W12 - Seattle V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

As a staunch Seatte homer, I want to apologize to the Giant fans if we win this game.
Why? It was a great game.
Seattle offense looked terrible except for one late drive. Embarrassingly bad at the end of the game and at the start of overtime. Defense wasn't much better. Giants lost the game more than Seattle earned the win. We'll take it.

Good teams seem to win these games though. See Denver.

Another thing. Hasselbeck looked terrible. Even on the long pass to Hackett it was way underthrown. Could have been 6 if he had put the ball out in front of him, but Hackett had to stop and wait for it allowing the DBs to catch up to him.

Shick my friend, you have the OLD Seattle feelings, this is a different team. Start to believe. :banned:

Did Shockey have a fumble that stood? I thought his only fumble was on the play that was over-turned as incomplete. We get minus 2 for any fumble and nfl.com is showing he has a fumble. TIA

Seahawks certainly didn't deserve to win this game. No way, no how. We played very, very poorly - I don't really feel great about the win, but it is a win, and damn - I really feel sorry for Feely right about now. Would not want to be him.

More than this single game, is that I can't believe the Seahawks are winning games like this so close to December. This is the kind of games we have always found a way to lose. Always. Between these last two weeks, I'm about sold.
The Giants defense made the Seahawks offense look bad and one dimensional. Take away Sean, you win. Congrats on your win though ... Our kicker gave the game away. :bag:

Jay Feely...poor *******. I think the 40-yd is the one he really blew, the other two were no gimmes whatsoever even for a guy with as good a season as Feely's having.I must say it makes me happy when Ellie loses...nothing against the Giants, just Ellie. Actually I enjoyed Shockey acting the fool during Feelys 40-yd miss. Nice try punk. And thanks!!! to Josh Brown for bailing my fantasy team...my fault for benching McNair over that sorry old lush Kerry Collins.

I read some here before I went to see how long the misses were, and I was expecting them to be around 30 yards. I was surprised to see they were all at least 40 yards. An NFL kicker should make at least one when given three tries, but it's not like they're chip shots. No way Feely should lose his job or anything like that over this one bad game.

Or, we can do the rational and adult thing and drive to the Meadowlands after they begin practice on Tuesday and beat the snot out of him with whatever hubcap we grab on the Turnpike on the way.

It's difficult looking at the Giants 7-4 record and try to be happy about it. Especially only one team has actually beat them this year. The Giants beat themselves in the other 3.

Is this the best NFL game you have seen this season?
Yes, I was on the edge of the couch, pacing, jumping up and down, screaming, uhhh pretty much acting like a chick.
That describes everyone at the stadium in Seattle, and I don't think they were all chicks.

It was one of the best coaching matchups I've seen. Reminded me of a chess match. The players on the field often left much to be desired. 2 top Os in the league held down by underrated defenses. Wasn't fireworks but a damn fine game and a huge win (however ugly) for us Hawk fans. It seemed like a playoff game, and I'm not sure we'd win a rematch.Great job to the Ds, turning "bend/don't break" into an art form.

I was laughing my ### off before the kicks were even kicked. Watching him miss several crucial FG's the last few years in Atlanta, I wasn't surprised that he missed them. He's a GOAT. The Falcons gave him up for a reason other than money.

Yeah right. Is it so hard to admit that your team got outplayed instead of saying they beat themselves? And I am talking in general, not necessarily about today's game.

Without a doubt.

The line for that is already backed up to the bridge.

I think the Giants offensive players deserve a couple wacks, too, for not getting any closer.

Did anyone else notice that Barber slowed up at the end of his long gain in overtime? It was almost like he knew he was going to get caught, so he slowed up and ran out of bounds at the 30. Had he kept going full speed, he might have gotten 5 more yards, which might have made a difference on Feeley's last FG attempt.

he was running on fumes, was gassed. It was a long game and hard fought game, dude.

Tomlinson touched the ball as many times as Barber did (31) and had more yards (meaning he ran farther) and he sure didn't look gassed or slow up on his game-winning TD run in overtime. :P
