Game Thread W13 - Houston V Oakland (1 Viewer)

I hate to say it, but Shoop might be good for this offense. Oakland has traditionally been a stretch the field kind of team, but Shoop is as conservative as they get. Lots of buttonhooks and other short passes that look pretty crisp today.

Somthing that won't show up in the stats, but was a pivotal play, was DeMeco Ryans sniffing out a screen pass and nearly returning it for six. He's all over the place today

Seabass misses another chip shot

Edit: he's pushing everything, and hit the crossbar twice. (Problem hasn't been with lack of strength, but with accuracy)

So, did Owen Daniels sleep with Kubiak's wife? I checked the play-by-play and he has one special teams tackle, and NOTHING ELSE???

announcer just said there have been 4 missed fgs here :wall:

They don't even seem to be looking his way. The checkdowns have been to the RB's. It's not even like he's being kept in to pass block, because the front five are doing a pretty good job on their own.

Thanks. So he's on the field, at least. All I see in the box score is Putzier. I guess with Carr's stat line, I wouldn't be getting much out of him anyway.

Carr has attempted like two passes in the 2nd half? What is going on? This isn't even a fantasy football related question. TIA.

Wow, Kubiak really ticked off at Carr on a bad third down decision.

All works out in the end with Brown making a pretty long FG.

Big fumble by Randal Williams...probably a game clincher (edit: considering the way Dayne is running the ball)

Owen Daniels sighting! Daniels was targeted on a third and long on a 6 yard out that fell incomplete. Play called back due to offsides on Raiders.

Watched the rest of the game while having a nice 5 taco dinner.

Kubiak went VERY conservative in the second half. Ran the ball a ton, and had some success with Dayne (who ran with a lot of passion). All of the formations for the Texans were tight, and seemed designed for short yardage.

As for AJ, he was blocking very well, if that's any consolation.

The blowup that Kubiak had with Carr was very telling to me. It seems like he's lost confidence in Carr, and I don't know if a Plummer led Texans in 07 seems that farfetched.

Oh I hope you are not right with that and just think if they had picked the "popular" pick in Vince Young they wouldn't have had to resign Carr and would have a great QB going forward.Carr is such a bust. Nice meaningless garbage time stats but it's clear he isn't a leader.
