Game Thread W13 - Seattle V Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

ThreeYardLoss with a 12 yard gain. Surprised to see Alexander back in after the long Morris run.

And another 10 yard gain. Wow. Line opened up decent holes on those two plays.

I would have picked up 16 and 12 on those two plays. Huge holes and a couple bad reads by LBs.

Wife and I are watching the game. She just said, "Good cut!" thinking it was ThreeYardLoss. Then she realized it was Morris.

4th and 6 Seattle defense holds. Glad they brought extra pressure. Was getting sick of seeing Feeleymeup stand there without being hurried.

Friend of mine last week with a minute left - "For some reason, I'm not at all worried about losing this game - it's Gus Frerotte"

Today, after the Westbrook run - "Feeley is almost as good as Frerotte - we're fine."

wow instead of getting the ball into Westbrook's hands seems like Feeley enjoys passing it to Tatupu more.

Wow TERRIBLE pass to for INT to Lofa (for his 3rd INT). All 3 INT's directly to Lofa. Someone really needs to tell AJ he plays for the other team.

Last time I remember this many gifts for a defender was to Cowboy DB Larry Brown a few years ago.

:pickle:

Didn't expect to win that one. 8-4 with Arizona coming next week. All road wins are nice, especially on the east coast.

81 was wide open on the sidelines.... I guess this squashes the whole Feeley is better than McNabb argument coming from the boneheads on 610 WIP.

I must be stupid. I keep thinking it is a good strategy to get the ball into the hands of your best player when you have a chance to win the game. Reid MUST be smarter than me to know that you should rely on AJ ####### FEELEY to win the game. Unreal.

Thank God we have AJ Feeley in the lineup now so he can show all the brilliant Eagles fans calling for McNabb's removal how the QB position should be played. THAT's what we've been missing all these years with McNabb back there. What a savior.

If knowledge is power, WIP's hosts couldn't turn on a freaking light bulb.

3 tries for a 1st and jack #### from SA. Exactly why he sucks.
Dude shut up with the SA hate. We all know he must have done something very bad to either you or your immediate family to make you hate him so much. There was NOWHERE to go on those three runs. Obviously Seattle was trying to run out the clock and Philly was selling out for the run. I guarantee your boy Morris would not have done any better! Alexander had a few very good runs this game and looked fresh.

Dude, first off Morris isn't my boy. He's proven repeatedly he is not a full season starter material. Second, I know there was nowhere to go and SA did exactly what he does with nowhere to go , nothing. Pay a guy 62 mil and you should at least expect him to get more than 2 yards on 3 tries no matter who on the field knows they're going to run.SA ran better today than he has in a while. I actually saw him fight for yards after first contact a few times. Most of his big runs were wide open holes, the ones you say make Morris look better than SA, which means that right now SA is no better than MoMo according to your theories.

Currently taking applications for someone to shoot me in the face.

Of all the unbelievably gut-wrenching things to happen this year, this game might be the worst. Seattle was begging us to take this game. Absolutely begging.

Westbrook has to be pissed. What more does the guy have to do? They might as well just let him QB.

I think Donovan McNabb is the happiest man in America. I'm sure that he wants the team to be successful, but knowing how he found it "bittersweet" to watch the team win with someone else before, deep down he is probably really happy.

I'm pretty happy with how Alexander ran today. He had only 3 carries for negative yards and fit well into the scheme of the game. I know you said Alexander couldn't thrive in this offense but I think he showed today that he can be effective.

He ran with some authority today, but i wouldn't say he was anything more than adequate. 3 ypc and zero involvement in the passing game. His big runs were great blocking and Morris did more with similar holes IMO. I saw that he was out as a dumpoff on a few, but wasn't really a target in the passing game. So yes he did alright today but was far from impressive. And at least he kept his feet moving after getting touched so was able to fall forward and scrounge a few extra yards here and there. But unless he can get involved in the passing game then he won't be as effective as Morris is in this "new" system.

Morris is a very good change of pace back, that is all. He wouldn't be nearly as effective if he was the main ball carrier yesterday, he probably wouldn't have even busted off that 45 yard run. He did because he was fresh, and things like that happens when you have a guy like SA taking most of the carries. There were many times yesterday where SA made something out of nothing, even the announcers were praising him for this. His ypc was skewed a little bit because of Philly selling out on the run towards the end of the game. It was Holmgren's decision run the ball and make Philly use their timeouts. I guarantee you there is not a RB in the league that would have gotten a first down on those last 3 runs vs Philly and their 10 men in the box.

I don't fully agree with that statement, there are some that could have a chance. However, getting more than 2 yards would've set up a possible play action on a makeable third down instead of 3rd and long, or at least give Philly more to think about instead of knowing that on 3rd and long they won't even think of passing. Like I said, he played better than he has in a long time but I am in no way impressed with his effort. They still didn't even think about giving it to him on short down situations. As for Morris, he busted a 46 yarder late last week when he started all game so i don't know why you think he wouldn't have the legs to do it in this game in the 3rd quarter. And with the holes that SA was running through, Morris would've absolutely been as effective as SA was. You yourself are always talking about how Morris gets better holes and that's why he looks better. Well, SA got them too, and that's why he looked better yesterday.

He kept his feet moving and he did much better after contact. But it is yet another game in which SA failed to top 100 yards and was nearly matched or outgained by a backup on far fewer carries.
