Week 7 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

[Begin rant]Am I wrong to suggest that 98.6% of us recognize that our armchair diagnoses (i.e. "He definitely blew out his uvula!!") are virtually, almost literally, always wrong?

So, why do we always offer our diagnoses? Of course there are always Krumrie/Theisman situations, which are 100% clear, but the overwhelming majority don't warrant our armchair Doctorisms.

Is there any way to get us to stop that nonsense?

Can't we just stick to "Player X to the blue tent" and leave it at that?

Yes, I know I'm tilting at windmills, alarmist mentality rules the universe. All hail the Hypnotoad!

I can’t believe how many “it looked real bad “ posts are in the injury thread each week.

Well, that one DID look real bad. I'll go ahead and say he tore SOMETHING there

It's just so frustrating. I occasionally need to rant about it.

Looked like he got a crack in his butt to me.

guess who has Deboo and Aiyuk?!?
Lot of Purdy owners. Plus they also have Jennings and CMC who are put. Hey, Kittle is still catching balls out there. I was looking at the SB stats and CMC had 81 yards receiving. Mason has been a solid fill in, but CMC is 1 of 1…

Agree 100%. Should ban the words “looked bad” from these threads. Many people aren’t watching the games at the time and it causes unneeded anxiety until there is more clarity.

Is it really any worse than people asking "my player x has 0 points, is he hurt?"
Maybe we should just get rid of the injury thread altogether. And while we're at it, GET OFF MY LAWN!

I don’t know about banning words. I’m not in favor of communism, but I think taken off on a cart, or couldn’t put weight on it, or he walked off under his own power, or limped off, all kind of speaks for itself.

I hear you but seems often that people say it looked bad and the guy is in the next series. Anyway not a hill I’m going to die on, so carry on.

Aiyuk just got plastered, looked kinda bad.
Looked really bad. His knee went sideways.
Shouldn't have held out....

...kidding
well, given that he now has potentially an ACL/MCL I'm sure hes happy he got paid. doing that negotiation while rehabbing doesnt exactly put you in a position of strength. in hindsight, it was the right move even if I dont agree with it.

though you know how it goes.... if he didnt hold out, maybe the chain of events that led to this injury may not have happened.
