It goes beyond Houston Texans football. It is emblematic of the entire history of pro football in the City of Houston. Most here probably don't realize that we Houston fans haven't experienced the NFL playoffs since 1994. I was young then, now I am closer to old than young.'Tis a cruel fate, that of the Houston NFL fan.
I had no FF interest and am nto a fan of either team, just watched this as an NFL fan. No clue why the Texans backed up at their goal line opened up their drive with 2 straight passes. There is 13-14 minutes of OT left. Tie game. You don't need to score quickly. Run Foster and pick up chunks with some short passing as well. Dumb playcalling.

Yes indeed. Kubiak is a dead man walking. Schaub screwed the pooch on the decision to throw that pass but the playcalling got way too lopsided. Arian Foster leads the NFL in rushing and put up 100+ against that defense, and you go away from the run right up against your own end zone? Muy, muy tonto.
My ### hurts after that one but I kind of expected it...Texans do this shiet all the time...great comebacks but blow it at the end.
Being a Texan fan, part of me is glad they lost. I feel for AJ80 and Arian but didn't want McNair getting swindled into another year w/ Kubi. Fire his mediocre butt and start the process now. No reason to sit idle once again. Jeff Fisher

It's a two-possession game whether you miss it now or miss it later. The only difference is that if you miss it now, you know it's a two-possession game. That knowledge may come in handy.
The have a fighting chance of tying the game only if they're going to make the two-point conversion. But if they're going to make the two-point conversion, what's the harm in making it now instead of later?
Pretty obvious that they should have went for two both times. Make that 1 for 66 for kicking the extra point. Versus 0 for 0 for going for two. (Per the other thread)
