Really? I can easily see why you'd go for the TD from the 1. Then all you have to do on the next drive is get to FG range.J

Kicking the field goal from the 1 would have been stupid. You're not going to have a better shot at the touchdown than that. If/when you get the ball back, time is going to be scarce and trying to get 7 will be extremely difficult. You'd be much better off only needing three in that situation.

Because the other guys on the roster are worse. the defense is what is killing the Lions. I'm assuming they draft a QB who would likely sit a season and learn under Kitna.
