I enjoy Sunday Night Football.Nothing better to do?Is Childress the coach in Green Bay now?

So the D gave up a 71 yard return to an olineman and managed the clock poorly at the end?The D lost the game, make a stop and you don't have to worry thereAnother loss because of ####ty coaching. Why on effing earth do you not have a second play called there?![]()
Flynn did learn clock management from Les Miles.

We know.I enjoy trolling all Packer threads.Nothing better to do?Is Childress the coach in Green Bay now?

Congrats on winning the Div.Maybe we;ll see you in the playoffsGreat game by the Pack but it means little without the win. Had me sweating.![]()

Even beyond any mistakes the coaches made, Flynn has to throw the ball in the end zone there no matter how much coverage he throws in to. He can't wait for someone to come open. The coaches really need to have a 4th down play ready to give Flynn when it was 3rd down.Maybe they did give it to him, who knows. But it sure seems he didn't know what play to execute on 4th down.
Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. I understand that most of you are having a frustrating end to the season, given that none of you saw this coming for whatever reason, but that's no reason to lash out against others for virtually saying the same thing as everyone else.Nah...just the truth with AE...its nothing new.
After tonight's game, I'm not getting overconfident about tomorrow night. Thanks, though. I was actually hoping the last game was huge for both teams. There hasn't been a game like that in many years between the two.Congrats on winning the Div.Maybe we;ll see you in the playoffsGreat game by the Pack but it means little without the win. You're hurting your chances of getting on staff here. It's a shame that when the game is hanging in the balance that the Packers on offense suddenly turn into a bunch of 10 year olds playing Pop Warner...seriously did these guys ever play street ball even? You gotta know that you don't have time. It's probably coaching. If I were a HC, I would have a set number of plays that could be numbered 1-10 at that popint in the game with a rookie so I could just bark it out quick or the QB could just call it at the line quickly..1...1...1...that is not the time to call X32bluewide49streakslantZ on 2.Drives me nuts when teams can't even run a play or get a shot at the winning score.
That doesn't happen too often.Time of possession: GB 40:48 - NE 19:12Pats had a lot of three and outs but when they did move the ball they got it downfield quickly.
So are those the two excuses you have for this game?So the D gave up a 71 yard return to an olineman and managed the clock poorly at the end?The D lost the game, make a stop and you don't have to worry thereAnother loss because of ####ty coaching. Why on effing earth do you not have a second play called there?![]()
It was a fishing trip by a Vikes fan. I asked him if he had nothing better to do. Who's lashing out and why are you piling on?Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. It is the coaching...McCarthy brain farts more in crunch time than a hilllbilly does eating beans 5 times a day. It's a shame that when the game is hanging in the balance that the Packers on offense suddenly turn into a bunch of 10 year olds playing Pop Warner...seriously did these guys ever play street ball even? It wouldn't have hurt the Pack's chances to get into the endzone from the 1 yard line.So are those the two excuses you have for this game?So the D gave up a 71 yard return to an olineman and managed the clock poorly at the end?The D lost the game, make a stop and you don't have to worry thereAnother loss because of ####ty coaching. Why on effing earth do you not have a second play called there?![]()
Whoa Whoa whoa, easy there, big fella. Don't have to jump down my throat, here. Why don't you take a few minutes away from the computer, go kick a pet, and then you won't be so snippy with everybody. Geez, a few losses and guys lose their heads arond here.It was a fishing trip by a Vikes fan. I asked him if he had nothing better to do. Yup. Was up 4.5 points before that play and ended up winning my semi-final by a HALF POINT after it. I almost had a heart attack doing the last second math while scrambling to the live scoring to verify that I did actually win.Hard to believe the Packers couldn't get a play called quicker there.was that last play a sack and a fumble recovery?

You're trying way too hard.Yawn...so those two things were not reasons for this loss? Just doing your usual nitpicking what I say to try and argue with me?There were a lot of reasons for the loss. Why do you just call them "excuses". Im not excusing the loss.Woodson's dropped INT. Only rushing 3 on so many 3rd downs early on.Poor clock management. The kick return. The INT return.Settling for FGs. Running the same play at the goalline twice in a row again.BTW, I was about to find an old thread and say I was wrong...I don't think McCarthy can win anything with this team anymore. So are those the two excuses you have for this game?So the D gave up a 71 yard return to an olineman and managed the clock poorly at the end?The D lost the game, make a stop and you don't have to worry thereAnother loss because of ####ty coaching. Why on effing earth do you not have a second play called there?![]()
So is this where you tell us that McCarthys job was on the line this season or are you supporting him for coach of the year still?Again, its the history with that particular poster.Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. Thanks BC,Flynn overall had a solid performance all things considered but yu can really tell the difference in coching wen you see games end like that. Don Shula used to be able to win a lot of games just because he and Marino and all his QBs could manage the clock and understood he situation. FLynn was under a lot of pressure but it was the last play of the game, point blank range, just rip it into the end zone, don't get sacked. Oh ell. McCarthy gets too many passes. This year it won't be his fault because of injuries. In 5 seasons he has 2 playoff appearances and 1 playoff win. Childress got fired after going to an NFC Championship game.It is the coaching...McCarthy brain farts more in crunch time than a hilllbilly does eating beans 5 times a day. It's a shame that when the game is hanging in the balance that the Packers on offense suddenly turn into a bunch of 10 year olds playing Pop Warner...seriously did these guys ever play street ball even? So last week you cried like a little girl about flip flopping on McCarthy you are now doing it again.I don't think McCarthy can win anything with this team anymore. So are those the two excuses you have for this game?So the D gave up a 71 yard return to an olineman and managed the clock poorly at the end?The D lost the game, make a stop and you don't have to worry thereAnother loss because of ####ty coaching. Why on effing earth do you not have a second play called there?![]()
Sure, the clock management sucked, but how about a wee bit of credit for getting the #2 QB coached up to give the best team in the NFL all they could handle in their own house? So is this where you tell us that McCarthys job was on the line this season or are you supporting him for coach of the year still?Again, its the history with that particular poster.Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. Isn't there a thread for you guys to argue in? Why must every GB thread end up with this ####ing contest? It gets old to everybody else on the boards. STOP IT!Read above. Is this where you ruin another thread with your usual arguing with me?So is this where you tell us that McCarthys job was on the line this season or are you supporting him for coach of the year still?
Check out McCarthy's record in tight games. It sucks.Sure, the clock management sucked, but how about a wee bit of credit for getting the #2 QB coached up to give the best team in the NFL all they could handle in their own house? So is this where you tell us that McCarthys job was on the line this season or are you supporting him for coach of the year still?Again, its the history with that particular poster.Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. Sure he has had some passes.Usually because he has rallied later in seasons and turned things around. He did it last year, started to this year til that Lions loss. But he is around longer than Chilly for a few reasons. ONe of the main reasons is that his players respect him far more than the Vikings seemed to respect Childress.McCarthy gets too many passes. This year it won't be his fault because of injuries. In 5 seasons he has 2 playoff appearances and 1 playoff win. Childress got fired after going to an NFC Championship game.
Grow up.So last week you cried like a little girl about flip flopping on McCarthy you are now doing it again.
I agree it gets old.I was in normal conversations with most here (other than my jab at AE).Look what happened when a certain poster came in here.Isn't there a thread for you guys to argue in? STOP IT!Read above. Is this where you ruin another thread with your usual arguing with me?So is this where you tell us that McCarthys job was on the line this season or are you supporting him for coach of the year still?
I am not the one flip flopping on McCarthy. sho has it down to an art!Sure, the clock management sucked, but how about a wee bit of credit for getting the #2 QB coached up to give the best team in the NFL all they could handle in their own house? So is this where you tell us that McCarthys job was on the line this season or are you supporting him for coach of the year still?Again, its the history with that particular poster.Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. McCarthy is probably better suited as a OC.Green Bay looks like a team with great coordinators but lacks what comes from a real good HC. Capers runs a good defense and McCarthy runs a good offense but what they lack is the preparation that would stop them from making stupid mistakes that can cost you the game. I think that preparation should come from the HC and McCarthy seems to lack some of that.
Count me as in this camp. When the Packers win, it is in spite of their coaching not because of it. I have become convinced we cannot win the NFC with McCarthy as coach.Looked to me like he said the Pack coaching cost them the game, which is a sentiment that several people have been saying for weeks. Act like a man and quit flip flopping on McCarthy.Grow up.So last week you cried like a little girl about flip flopping on McCarthy you are now doing it again.

What's worse than the execution of the last play is in his post game presser McCarthy said they did nothing wrong and he was happy with how the play was called, the only problem was the result. Maybe he was just protecting Flynn but as HC you need to take it on chin there and take the blame for all the confusion. It's a shame that when the game is hanging in the balance that the Packers on offense suddenly turn into a bunch of 10 year olds playing Pop Warner...seriously did these guys ever play street ball even? You gotta know that you don't have time. It's probably coaching. But a few weeks ago you said he could take the Packers to the SB. Oh...you said before that his job was on the line so how he is down to being a OC. You almost have all your bases covered.McCarthy is probably better suited as a OC.Green Bay looks like a team with great coordinators but lacks what comes from a real good HC. Capers runs a good defense and McCarthy runs a good offense but what they lack is the preparation that would stop them from making stupid mistakes that can cost you the game.
