Game Thread W15 - New England V Miami (1 Viewer)

How's Branch? My opponent has him and I'm up by 6.5 points. Basically 6 yards and a TD and I lose in the 2nd round of my $$ league (I still would go on to play the Owens owner for 3rd place and $80 or so).Mike

I checked the play-by-play at NFL.com and he had one target in the 1st half. So, yes, he was playing at one point at least. Whether something has happened since I don't know. I missed a lot of the game and am just catching up now.I'm down 4.25 points going into tonight in a semi-final game. I have Vinatieri, he has Branch, so I'm interested as well. Vinatieri has 2 so far, so a FG will do it it Branch gets no catches.
 
With the Steelers and Eagles also having tough games, I guess it's been a rough week to be 12-1. Wish my team had that problem more often.

 
I've got a terminology question. Michaels and Madden called the Patriots running TD a draw play. I thought a draw play was basically when the QB was in a shotgun formation and handed off (often with a slight delay). However, Brady was directly behind the center on the play.What constitutes a draw?

On a draw play, the O-Line goes into pass protection, so it initially looks like a pass play. There is usually a small delay, then the rb (or qb) runs up the middle.

vegas called the head ref and told him that Miami was not supposed to win tonight so he had to start throwing out the random flags.
 
any chance they call the game right now? i'm up by 1.63 points :bag: need a turnover from Brady and no more catches by McMichael to be safe (ppr league....i love it, until now!). only 50 yds a point for QBs, so it's possible....but unlikely. :bag:

I'm up 86-83. As long as Vinatieri doesn't kick a FG, I'm good. If he does, I lose the tie.I'm thinking New England will milk the clock.I think I'm going to make it.I hope. :unsure:

as do guys playing against Brady who just loss on that play. Dillon goes in and they likely run it out and i hang on. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: between that and the ref calling Cato June out last night, this is one crappy way to go out....i could deal with getting my ### kicked, but the refs muffing me not once, but twice is hard to accept. I need a drink.
