Game Thread W16 - Chicago V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

Intentional grounding, two interceptions...yeah, it's all about the people surrounding Favre alright.

The worst part is that the announcers are such apologists for his mistakes. On the Int for a TD the announcer kept repeating over the replays how Brett wouldn't have been able to see the Bears defender from his spot. Like that is a defense. If Grossman or Ortan had thrown that pass they would be screaming how, as a QB, you just can't throw that ball.As I'm typing this Farve throws his 3rd Int & the announcers are calling it a great play by the defender. Geez...Farve threw it right at him.

 
Favre leads the NFL in interceptions with 27. The closest QBs to him are Aaron Brooks and Eli Manning with 17.Favre has thrown an interception in 13 of 15 games.He has 2 or more interceptions in 9 of 15 games.He has 3 or more interceptions in 3 games now.

The Favre apologists have been out of hand for some time now, but what I'm hearing right now just takes it all. "He could NOT see that defender..." "The Bears were not showing blitz until the last second..." I'm waiting to hear "the moon was in his eyes" or "why can't those hack receivers jump 8 feet in the air to snag those overthrows."

The Bears offense is much improved. Nice to see Moosh dropping passes today for Grossman. I thought he just dropped Orton's.

Holy mercy. I had a 7-point lead and when Jones got pulverized to force that last punt I thought it was over. Then that Favre bomb suddenly made OT a possibility. It's finally over!

This whole game was a snapshot of his season. He still has flashes, but the bad plays far outnumber the good. It is too bad to see the decline, but it is far worse reading the denial from the die-hard Packer fans on various boards. There will be some tough choices made in Cheeseland this spring.
