Game Thread W2 - San Diego V Denver (1 Viewer)

Now turf toe only happens to backs who are getting up there in age ?

Couldn't this happen to any other top running back as well, no matter what age ?

I'm almost at a loss for words by how good Cutler has looked and how dominant Marshall can potentially be this season

I'm beginning to think Shanny got jealous last year with all of New England's hype about the offense and started planning early to come up with a similar scheme...

It was talked about last week, but I think Denver truly is a passing team now. 30 attempts by Cutler at halftime, Marshall/Royal/Scheffler is not a bad trio at all to throw to.

### #### i'm glad Cutler's my QB :goodposting:

For those of us not blessed to watch the game right now...how is Marshall getting this open? Is Merriman not being in there exposing the San Diego defense?

The D was exposed last week, it is just continuing. The SD Defense just isnt very good, but they all think they are celebrities. As for Marhall, he is torching Cromartie, but I cant blame it all on Cro, the pass rush aint helping him.

I've watched every minute. I would estimate 6 of Marshall's 10 catches in the 1st half are short yardage stuff, quick slants and 5 yd hooks. Which means the SD DB's are scared sh*tless of him beating them deep.

This is the result of no pass rush.

They have been playing off him, all part of Ted Cotrells bend but dont break approach. Sadly they are still breaking. The one thing the Chargers have going for them is they get the ball to start the second half, no LT though makes it harder to comeback.

I love that I have the Cutler/Marshall combo.
Well... it certainly takes the sting out of drafting LT #1 overall. I won't be surprised if he doesn't get another carry for the rest of this game (he'll probably miss the next 4-5 games on top of that)
LT will be lucky to finish in the top 20 RBs this year.
This is the third year you've trashed LT in the beginning of the season. I suppose you are going to get it right one year, but I think you've lost the impact at this point.

Can someone give me the cliff's notes on LT? Did he leave the game? Does he have a confirmed injury? Looking for info here since my CBS site is down. Thanks!

My favorite was when he did it all through his record-breaking year. I was certain he was an HK alias at that time and just being intentionally obtuse.

I'm impressed you pay such close attention to what I say. I'm flattered you care so much. He'd be back in the game by now if it wasn't something serious. They need to win this game. That points to the fact that he's probably going to miss about 2-3 games and then struggle when he comes back.
