Game Thread W2 - San Diego V Denver (1 Viewer)

For those of us not blessed to watch the game right now...how is Marshall getting this open? Is Merriman not being in there exposing the San Diego defense?

I've watched every minute. I would estimate 6 of Marshall's 10 catches in the 1st half are short yardage stuff, quick slants and 5 yd hooks. Which means the SD DB's are scared sh*tless of him beating them deep.

They have been playing off him, all part of Ted Cotrells bend but dont break approach. Sadly they are still breaking. The one thing the Chargers have going for them is they get the ball to start the second half, no LT though makes it harder to comeback.

Correct, nobody knows a thing. All we know is he went to block an LB but missed, then next thing we know they show him on the bench with his right sock off with a trainer tickling his toe.

He looks slowed, but he is playing. Problem for Gates owners is the Broncos arent really covering the WR very well, so Rivers is throwing to them.

He has looked fine when he gets the ball. Ufortunately, there is no way to know if he is running his routes well.

Looks very good. Overshadowed by Cutler, but looks good. Bad defense by both.

I hate Rivers after his trash-talking last year. But he's playing very well today. Denver defense (actually both defenses) are playing poorly. But Rivers has made some great reads and even better throws, especially the 2nd Q 3rd down TD pass to Chambers with a blitz in his face.

He has been pretty much unstoppable. The fumble/int was a catch by chambers, and the replay equiptment in Denver conviently didnt work, so the play could not be reviewed. On the last possession, Rivers hit Nannee in the hands for a TD and he dropped it.
