Game Thread W3 - Cincinnati v Seattle (1 Viewer)

Loving the new safeties. Russell faced these guys twice a year for Cleveland and knows how to play them. Trufant has done a good job at keeping CJ from going crazy.
That's a great way to put it. Trufant has given up a handful of 10-20 yard receptions to CJ, but he hasn't allowed him to beat him for a big play yet

Rudi finally with positive yards!!
It was nice of him to spot the Seahags and my Fantasy opponents that half of negative yards. I winder if he can pull off 50 yards in the second half....This guy is killing me this week....My opponent isn't trying to win, but with these kind of yards, I'm not either....

Ditto.

Even with that 22 yard run by Alexander, the two starting RBs in this game have combined for on 65 yards on 32 carries. That's 2 yards per carry. Ugly!

Up to 9 yards. 1 yard away from getting me a point on the ground. Thank God for that 33 yard catch. If I'm lucky I will get 6 points from this guy this week. I didn't realize that Seattle was that great at Run Stopping.....I wasn't expecting 150 and 2 TD's, but to have negative yards at the half was a huge shock....

And the first thing I think of when I think of Seattle and Cinci - Run Stopping Defenses....

Rudi's not even in the game now. Commentators just wondered where he was at....Did he take a hard hit that I missed?

I was cleaning up from dinner, so I missed a couple plays. Not sure what happened to Rudi.

Just had a tip drill in the endzone - could have been INT'd or caught for a TD on the bounces

Yeah, six sounds about right. Palmer just threw an incomplete pass to him in the endzone, by the way.On the plus side, I also have Deion Branch starting on the same team, so he's given me 15 pts to make up for it.Norm

Gus Johnson makes every play seem like the last play of a tied Super Bowl.

Good or Annoying?

I say Annoying!

I know he's been a worthless pile of cow dung today but first and goal at the five you might want to have Rudi in the game there. That decision may have cost the Bengals a TD. We'll see if it comes back to haunt them.

Exactly.....I'm starting to dislike Marvin Lewis's ability to coach less and less. He came from Baltimore where they won a SB by running the ball and playing outstanding defense. Now, he coaches a team that can't play defense nor run the football. I gaurantee Cinci doens't make the playoffs and with the talent they have on that team, that's ashame.

SEA is driving, but as of right now, Cincy is still winning this game. They're not a dominant team right now, but I wouldn't 'gaurantee' them not making the playoffs this early in the year. Still plenty of football to be played.

I was hoping that Burleson would take advantage of his chance to win and keep the job, but it looks like Hackett is missed by the Seattle offense.

I'm watching the game on Gamecenter and I still know Holmgren's play calling is the suck.
I dunno. Having your quarterback put the ball in the hands of an open receiver in the back of the end zone sounds like a nice play call to me.
Yeah I didn't know that. However I've watched them a lot under Holmgren. His third down and 8 calls where he runs Strong are infamous.

"Johnson with a hamstring injury and his return is questionable."
great, he is not injured for his entire career...until I finally own him.
Same here. That and I traded Addai and two first rounders for LT. That's not going so well either. I finally get these guys on my roster and LT is playing like a borderline RB1/RB2 and Rudi pulls a Hammy, and like another poster said, those can linger all season. This blows....

Burleson has the worst hands in the league, but the NFL's rules for what you have to do for it to be a catch is absurd!

He caught the ball, had two feet down. If the ground cannot cause a fumble, why can it cause an incompletion?

Burleson dropped a TD pass there
Are you serious? ####!
Hackett woulda held on.Caught it in back of endzone, dragged the feet and then the ball jarred loose when he hit the ground. Should've been held onto.
Dammit. I hate not beng able to get this game. I get the first two then they put on some damn Nascar race and FOx goes with the Skins and Giants as their main game.
The game is on CBS, not Fox

Willie Anderson down hurt on the ground. Bengals can't afford to lose him! Palmer helping him up off the ground and he's hobbling off mostly under his own power. Let's hope he's just a little banged up

Bengals go for 2 and give it to Watson on the pitch, but he can't get it

21-17 Bengals
