The Jets are so undisciplined.
Dolphin fan here, and I agree.I'm not a Jets or Dolphins fan, but its really awfull for the refs to call a hold on a play like that which wasn't really obvious, with the game result possibly on the line.
Thank ye.He elevated above two defenders to catch the ball. Tackled immediately. 3rd down play wasnt close. Why Marshall brought down on 7. And how close was that 3rd down play. Not watching. Thanks.
Meh, maybe away from the play but it was right next to the ball carrier and directly impacted the play. Starks would have eaten Sanchez up if he wasn't held.Dolphin fan here, and I agree.I'm not a Jets or Dolphins fan, but its really awfull for the refs to call a hold on a play like that which wasn't really obvious, with the game result possibly on the line.
At the point of attack, hands outside his frame, grabbed the jersey - an easy call. And again, tomlinson looks fast
Al Michaels just asked the same question...I always wonder in these situations if it wouldn't be better just to let New York score here. The odds are they will anyway, and the Dolphins will need every second left. Is that an insane idea?
I think you need to be inside of the 20'sI don't understand why a player in this situation needs to run all the way to where his team is congregated on the sidelines. Can't he just run out of the back of the end zone to make sure you don't get a penalty?

Collinsworth keeps harping on the fact Allen didn't turn his head around. It looks like he did, and I thought that wasn't the rule anymore anyway.Looked to me like Allen turned, and Braylon jumped into him. I think Collinsworth is wrong on that one.

That was such a ridiculous play, Jets were very fortunate.Really wish Langford had hung onto the ball when Sanchez decided to hand it to him but it wasn't to be.
Game over. Jets won. That was a horse chit call in any game at any time. I will also admit the Phins got jobbed a few times too. The ref'ing was pretty poor for both sides. The Slauson holding call was beyond nit picking, it was horse chit.At the point of attack, hands outside his frame, grabbed the jersey - an easy call. The odds of making a two point conversion are less than 50%. So the risk is not worth the reward. An extra point puts the Jets up 31-23. You then force Miami to score a touchdown and make a two point conversion (where the odds are less than 50%).If you go for two and make it you put the game away but if you don't make it then the Dolphins can tie it up with a touchdown and the extra point. So the odds of the Jets making the two point conversion < the odds of the Jets not making it and the Dolphins kicking the extra point. If the Jets get a TD 30-23 why not go for two and put the game away? Or at least make it a two posession game.
I hated the way this game was ref'd. You need to let these 2 teams just go out there and beat each other up. No place for weak holding or personal foul penalties. As you said though, it was so bad that it went both ways AND when both defenses are performing like that no one has a right to complain about anything.Game over. Jets won. Colinsworth has never seen a penalty he disagrees with.Collinsworth keeps harping on the fact Allen didn't turn his head around.
