Game Thread W3 - San Diego V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

Pretty stoked about this start. Never would have suspected 3-0. I figured they had a few lucky breaks against the eagles, the giants had bad d but now to beat the chargers. This teams is DEF. surprising me. WOOOOO!!!

Edit to add: Im the only packer fan in queens.

Packers win, 3-0 start! wow i wouldn't have guess 3-0 at the start of the year...
:goodposting: I gave them a 2-0 start as Eagles and Giants suck. Now they come to the Dome, where the vikes defense couldn't play pass defense against Huard.. Think Favre will break the record next week??
Vikings tickets will hit an all time high on the scalping level this week.

Gonna get me some tix right now!!
History in the making.. In college Football a Iowa vs. Gophers or Badgers vs. Gophers game at the dome tends to be more visiting team fans than homers.. This game I wouldn't be surprised to see a 75-25 split for Packer fans..

LT on pace to get around 700 rushing yards this year. You can't call 3 crappy games in a row a fluke.
Wait a minute, I think I'm starting to remember something about you.Anyway, whether the Chargers are being "norved" or not, that's still a pretty good team the Packers beat today. Color me impressed and surprised.

Oh give me a break. You could call one or two bad games atypical. You cannot call 3 sub 70 yard rushing performances in a row atypical. He's clearly not the RB he used to be. This is a guy who ran behind one of the worst o-lines in recent history his rookie year and did very well. LT has lost a step or two. He's still good...but not top-tier good anymore.

The Chargers have played three good defenses in a row. I wouldn't put LT out to pasture yet.

A tough defense had little bearing on LT in the past (save for a few glaring instances). He's known to rip up defense and tough defense regardless of how stout they are. There are really only 3 reasons for LT's decline:1) Age: We must face that he is getting on in years. 28 is not a spring chicken for a RB.2) Defenses giving little to no respect to the Charger passing game and focusing just on LT.3) The offensive line isn't as solid as we thought it was.I believe it is a combination of all 3 with most of the load being placed on reason 3. But again, reason 2 and 3 haven't mattered in respect to LT's production in the past. That's why reason 1 is starting to become a major factor.

i thought LT looked fine.

they aren't feeding him the ball like Schotty did. the line looks OK running the ball. Norv has stated that he wants to focus more on getting the ball to his "other" players in an effort to diversify the offense.

:goodposting:

people complained the last couple seasons that LT was going to die on the field from all the touches. i think Norv is trying to solve that issue by spreading the ball about. unfortunately, it's not working. maybe he'll realize that and give LT the ball 30 times next week.
