Game Thread W4 - Detroit V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

THAT IS A JOKE!!!

How is that conclusive???? :hot:  :hot: :wall:
Agreed, there was no way that was conclusive from any of the replay angles...both officials on the spot called it a TD and it should have remained that way.

Pathetic pass by Joey there.....how hard would it have been to just keep it in the endzone

Once again the refs decide the outcome of a game.

Can't believe Buc fans would cheer that. Next time it's going to be you getting screwed.
:lmao: Maybe if you guys converted one of the 173 Brian Griese interceptions, it wouldn't have come down to that.

Considering Roy Williams had postiion IN FRONT of the DB there was no need to lob the ball. Pollard almost made great catch. Mike Williams almost made a better one. Harrington is garbage.

Guess Mooch thinks KJ is the reason Detroit's not moving the ball.
And he's right too! You give a guy 12 touches and you don't get 120 yards and 2TDs you sit his butt on the bench! :lmao:

I froze it at the frame where he had both hands around the ball, and he was clearly out of bounds.
:goodposting: I'm a Lions fan and I don't even think it was that close.

Where the Lions really blew it was on the next play. Mike Williams could have easily dragged his feet if he had even the slightest idea where the sideline was.

Harrington needs to go.... why you would keep him in the game and BENCH Kevin Jones is WAY beyond me. How an individual can not succeed with 3 STAR wide receivers, one of which he NEVER targets (Rogers) is beyond me. It is clearly time for a HUGE change. Bring in the Rook!!! Mooch HAS to consider sitting Harrington now, right?

That was a tough catch.. he had two DBs in front of him. Maybe he picked the ball up late. That wasn't that easy of a catch.

I agree on Harrington, but...Rogers a star? Rogers is AWFUL. Harrington never targets him because he's never open and even if he is he'll drop the ball anyway.

Harrington really did look terrible. He had only 65 yards passing before the final drive, with half of that 65 yards coming on one play. The rest were dumpoffs within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.

No. KJ's the problem. They drove right down the field when they sat his butt on the bench.

I don't know that I've seen too many plays that close get overturned. I also think the Lions got screwed out of their last timeout. No way the clock should have kept running on Roy's catch. He clearly got out of bounds.I await the :ptts: from someone. But the Lions just don't seem to get much respect from the refs.

He got out of bounds but was going backwards. They gave him forward progress, thus the clock continues to run.

Hard for a defense to key on KJ when he's on the bench. Bucs said their #1 goal was to stop KJ. Harrington's the problem. He only looked Roy Williams way until the last drive. When you have a de keyed on your #1 back and can't find any open recievers... you suck.

And is that the correct, by-the-book call? Sure. But how many times have you seen it made when the player lands out of bounds?Me neither.

I froze it at the frame where the ball was in both hands and his knee was still clearly in bounds. Both refs on the field called it a TD, and then there's a microsecond of doubt on where he has possession. How is that conclusive? Lions got screwed.

I was pretty much joking but, even if it's not his fault, KJ is looking more and more like this year's Barlow. 12 touches in a close game leaves me speechless. Pinner and Bryson had almost as many carries as he did. Now he's on the bench. His value is now as close to zero as you can get.

:goodposting: :goodposting: On both points. Total hose job. There was nothing even remotely "indisputable" about that review. Nothing.

Two points, however....

As a staunch supporter of giving Joey the benefit of the doubt, i'm done with him. He's dead to me. I'm now counting the days for Garcia to return, cut him after the year, groom Orlovsky, and forget he ever existed.

Anyone who saw KJ's touchdown knows the problem was not him. That was the only hole he got all day, and he DESTROYED the TB safety at the 3 yard line.

There is an NFL rule called the "Bert Emmanuel Rule"...I think the Bucs have had their fair share of bad calls. It happens to everyone.

I'm with you on Joey. After watching his accuracy in college, I thought he'd do well in the NFL. For whatever reason, it hasn't happened. I can't watch much more of his "happy feet, check down three yards short of the marker" nonsense, though.

"As a staunch supporter of giving Joey the benefit of the doubt, i'm done with him. He's dead to me. I'm now counting the days for Garcia to return, cut him after the year, groom Orlovsky, and forget he ever existed."I almost completely agree!!!I have also been saying that Joey needed a few games this season to finally proove himself, which he hasn't, so I say the Lions start looking to make a move before the trade deadline. The Lions did get screwed today but if Joey had a the very least a decent game it wouldnt of came down to that play.Drew Brees had a great game and has prooven he should be the man in San Diego over the last season and a quarter, so I bet Philip Rivers would be an option what do you think

Harrington is just pitiful. I drafted him late as my 3rd QB, figuring with all of those receivers and KJ he couldn't be *that* bad.He is. :wall:I'm dropping him so fast and so hard this week he'll bounce into Week 8.

I just want to say that the overturn of that Td was the worst officiating job since the time they gave Colorado 5 downs to score the winning play years ago. What a complete joke. Who's the replay official, Paul Tagliabue? Just terrible, terrible stuff. Enjoy the fake win TB.
