Game Thread W4 - Minnesota v Tennessee (1 Viewer)

WTF.. Yea, Ferrotte is SOOOO Much smarter than TJ.. Why the F do you take a timeout to save 1 fricken yard?? :wall:

Learned 2 things from this game....

Vikings aren't very good

Chris Johnson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lenwhale

Defense looks soft and there's no "scheme" to the offense. Inexcusable given the talent involved.

There's still time for the Vikes to be the first franchise to fire their coach this year.

I thought the teams were very evenly matched. Referees gave the Titans a seven point lead early and Vikings never recovered.

Gotta hand it to the Titans. They look very good.

WTF happened to Cedric Griffin? Since about midway through last season he's been terrible.

First day watching football? :excited:
:confused:That didn't seem called for.
It wasn't so much a shot at him, as it was a tongue-in-cheek reference to A) how bad the Vikes are, and B) Chris Johnson is a stud.I've been watching Johnson since the combine, and I've been watching the Vikes for over 30 years.I know a winner when I see one. (and a loser)

:pickle: @ noob bandwagon jumpers.Quick search and you'll find I was touting Chris Johnson WELL before most folks were on the bandwagon.Get off my coattails kid. And get a new sarcasm detector while you're at it
This guy is calling me a Kid. Ha Ha.Dude, I turn 38 next May.You may have been touting LBJ for a long time. I don't need to waste my time looking to see if you have been.I'll take your word for it.You're right...I missed the sarcasm. You could work on your delivery though.

Titans really remind me of the early Patriots Supe teams. Tough D and then there's a scrappiness sorta find a way to get it done fight in the rest of the team. And EXTREMELY well coached. For 4 weeks, I've been thoroughly impressed with Fisher as if he somehow raised the already high level of his coaching.I think Minny is just relying on the defense to do too much. It's like some old Bears teams, stop the opposing offense and then they also need the D to score some points. I like their D and I like the fight in em'. Their expectations are too high IMO. Their offense could not be any more vanilla though. Are they an expansion team? Childress should have taken Griffin out. You can't keep watching one guy get beat as that DL fights one of the better OLs in the NFL. They battled all day. I missed some decent plays watching the trenches a bit much. It was a fantastic matchup on both sides. I think those passes toward Griffin were deflating. Frerotte's arm injury made me wonder when the last game was that ya didn't think about the Titans hurting an opposing QB to some degree. It's been a while.Going in I wanted to see Chris Johnson struggle thru and find a way to do well against a real tough D. He did and I was impressed. I don't think many backs have that "drive" and would just have a predictably poor game. Adrian impressed in exactly the same way against the Titans today. It's nice to see those two have big plays and all but, these grind it out games show us something IMO.I thought each coach overthought things and tried to be a little too clever. Already a minny comment here, I completely agree with. The Titans have thrown like 1 pass in the 4th Q the last two games so as the 4th Q starts, Kerry throws 3 in a row. I realize it would seem unexpected but no NFL d is thinking "they'll never run" or "they'll never pass"...cmon now. The one gripe I have with Fisher today.

What a freaking joke. He was almost a full yard behind the place they spotted him, but he fumbled as well. Both obviously clear on the challenge.

Again I ask, wtf is the point in instant replay when they can't even pull out something that is totally obvious (there were TWO of reasons to overturn it on this play and they didn't use either).

Stop making them watch this crap on a 7 inch monitor FFS.
NFL Refs can't be questioned now? The NFL Refs are deciding the outcome of way too many games these days.http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/09/28/...l-in-nashville/
