Game Thread W4 - Minnesota v Tennessee (1 Viewer)

horrible call there - he clearly didn't make it
not only that, should have been a fumble on the play. garbage call
Replay is worthless. Well over half the time the call is wrong. In the case when the booth has to call the review they miss it well over seventy five percent of the time. Just trash the whole system already. It ruins the excitement of the game and makes every play and endless debate. All for nothing.

Very unimpressive 1st half for the Vikes. For a good team, they sure do play A LOT of bad football.
turnovers killing them. outside of the fumbles, the offense has looked pretty good. defense hasn't played well though and they can't slow down Johnson

My biggest complaint with that challenge was it was CLEARLY a fumble. Why oh WHY doesn't Chilly challenge that?
When they showed the replay it sounded like the whistle blew after the fumble, but before we recovered, so I don't think we would've won that one either. But, if they ruled that where is the spot at? If its at the location of ball when whistle blew, that was well short as well....

On paper they're a good team. But I haven't seen much from them on the field to indicate that they're a good team.

Sorry, I'm counting the fumbles. And dropped passes like the one from Berrian. It's a very mistake prone team.
Dang, and right on cue, there is another one. It's impossible to be good 'except for' those sorts of plays.

Someone want to let me know when Bernard starts earning the money smart boy Childress threw at him??

TIA

Vikings need a big play on Defense right here. Last year it seems we would get them when we needed one. At least early in the year anyway.

I disagree. Actually 9/10 times I agree with the replay as the burden of proof is very high and for a good reason. I just thought we met it there as Gage was nowhere close. We just recovered a fumble. Let's get an FG here

What is it with these announcers' Have they watched one Viking game in the last two years??

every other comment "Titans aren't afraid of airing it out and surprisingly are having good luck at it". No really? Against the Vikings defense a team is having luck in the passing game?? WOW!!! Next thing you will tell me is the sun ALWAYS sets in the west...

Because once his forward progress was stopped it was pretty much over.
not when the whistle hasn't blown and he's still fighting for extra yards on a 4th down play
Once he starts going backwards...yes, even without the whistle they will not rule that a fumble. It does not matter that his legs are still fighting.

If he reaches across on that final effort and gets a TD, they give it to him, so if he leans and gets pounded it should be (and is) a fumble.

I disagree and have never seen any fumble like that actually called. It just does not happen.

So, do you disagree that he wouldn't be given the TD? I agree with you that they never call it, but they always call it a TD if he scores on it, so the defense should get theirs as well.

Hey, so when do we get Madieu Williams back? Or is he already back? I'm from Minnesota but I go to school in California, so I'm a little out of the loop on Vikings news.

Always?No...I disagree...if he was loose...yes...but he was held and pushed back...as soon as the forward progress turned to going backwards while in the grasp of several defenders...the play was over...not sure why some of you all don't realize that.

 They call that all the time. Case in point the Minny/OSU game yesterday.

He was loose and diving toward the goal line when he got hit and fumbled. Not sure why you don't realize that.

Except he was not lose, his back was to the goalline, and he was moving backwards.Other than that, you are spot on.

It seems like FOREVER since weve seen a Vikings wide receiver with RAC yards. This is disgusting. :(
Wait :mellow:did the vikings sign someone that should be called a WR in the NFL during Halftime?? Calling what we have a WR is an insult to the name.

I really have to find some other way to waste my Sundays every week. Maybe take up quilting or something. It couldnt be any worse than this.

:(

That dang TJ is still a jinx.. Has to be it;starting 0-2 was all his fault so this crap on TV right now has to be his fault also.. Couldn't possibly be the coaching staff or any of the other players..

Turn it to channel 29 (if you live in the area) At least ONE Minnesota team is trying today.

Crumpler does collect a paycheck from the Titans doesn't he? You'd think they might throw *one* pass to him?
