I dont get this challenge..Easily was a 1st down....

It's actually a somewhat low-risk challenge. They're not challenging the 1st down -- they're just challenging the spot of the ball. Even if the spot is off by a few inches (which it was), they win the challenge.

I love the arbitrary placement of the ball then the exact measurement. Kills me every time.

I've often wondered the same thing -- funny.

With all the talk of the game being slow, whay can't the ball be spotted to the nearest yard line and forget all the measuring?

I dislike Chicago but I feel GB has gotten what they deserve. They didn't play to win, they played not to lose. Favre has like 9 pass attempts in the 2nd half. They played lights out in the 1st half but horrible in the 2nd half.

They didn't win the challenge because Chicago still got the first down. That is what they were challenging.
