Game Thread W5 - Green Bay V Chicago (1 Viewer)

Wow I don't get the playcalling the 2nd half at all..Now this 2 minute drive looks horrible. You have to work the sidelines...13 seconds = maybe 2 plays...McCarthy gets an F this game imo..

If the Packers lose this game, that Stupid Favre INT is huge as that gave Chicago momentum when their offense was totally inept. Then the conservative playcalling after that was a joke. You can't take your foot off the gas.

Favre is sending a message to McCarthy about the timeout before the half....don't call a timeout when Im driving down the field

Pathetic ending. What the hell was Green Bay thinking during the 3rd quarter? "Let's see how many 3 and outs we can get by just running the ball and abandoning our passing game"

Pull that chin strap off and get off the field Brett. Perfect ending.

Oh yea, congrats on the INT record too.

nice win by the Bears, they needed it. GB should be embarrassed for how conservative they got in the 2nd half.

This game will come back to haunt the Packers. Too many turnovers and penalties allowing the Bears to stick around and steal it at the end. Bad playcalling and clock management as well. Not a good showing in a game that looked so promising in the beginning. Reminds me of some of the games that the Bears pulled out last year.

OMG, Al is reading this thread.
Who thinks that Al is right about the GB timeout? How can GB make a challenge and then win the challenge but be charged a timout. I think that is wrong!
They didn't win the challenge because Chicago still got the first down. That is what they were challenging.
Al? Is that you?
I'm expecting an explanation from the head ref dude on NFLN's Total Access sometime this week.

That is a fact. The Tillman strips kept the Bears in this game. The Urlacher INT (which really is more Favre giving him the ball than him making the play) got the momentum completely in the Bears favor and the Packers could never do anything else offensively until the 2 minute warning.Great game though.

 Can't wait to hear the call in post game show..People are gonna be pissed. Rediculous playcalling after halftime..

Wait....both guys had two hands on it. Does that not go to the offense?
If it's a simultaneous catch, I believe you are correct. What I saw was that the defensive player first established possession (or at least getting both hands on the ball), and THEN the offense did the same. Not simulataneous, then, since the defense had it first. Just my opinion...

Thought the same thing last week in the CHI/DET game...no such luck for us last week either.on the replay though, the CHI defender caught it clean in the air, and had the WR try to wrestle it after he caught it.

Lot's of talk from a long burned MN fan whose season is already over and any minor victory they can eke out will only make their high draft choice worse. Not like it was a bad throw, he put it to where his WR was. That's a pick for any QB from any of your alleged NFL QBs to Joe Montana. Save your vitriole for when your team actually has at least a .500 record and a QB worth a college start.

Worst ####### play calling ever....passing down the middle of the field with less than two minutes over and over. thats what the D wants you to do and you just play right into it.

I mean at some point they had to lose...but to lose to your biggest division rival sucks. Now if for some godforsaken reason they wind up tied at the end of the year watch it all come back to this game when it come down to head to head.

still in disbelief!! Thought the clock management was very shaky, but not worse than the play calling in the 2nd half. Packers better get it together if they want to be a contender, sense of urgency was questionable in the 2nd half.

This one goes on McCarthy's shoulders. Poor coaching in the second half.
Yea, I hated when he threw that ball to Urlacher and let the Bears back in the game.
1 bad play vs a whole half of bad playcalling. You're probably one of the most insightful posters ever on this board.
Gotta love it when a slobbering idiot comes in here representing a crappy 1-3 team and rips on a 4-1 team...Get a life..
