Can someone please explain to me why Smith is starting again? Or at least still playing in this game.

Yes, he is but still that's not even the point. Smith will have absolutly no confidence in a few short weeks taking this beating.Oh, and SF very well coudl be winning this game w/o those 4 Ints.

Man... 53 yards and 4 interceptions. I wonder if they start him again. Rattay is not *that* bad.

Once again I say this is just HORRIBLE game management when you have a rookie QB in his first start. WHo calls the plays in SF?

Manning is not much better this season.... he is absolutely KILLING me this season...It might be time to deal him for a RB/WR....

I'm not a Rattay fan at all, but I agree that this game is probably at least 14-10 with Rattay in there
 
So they are just gonna have Smith handoff for the next hour....hmmm, great strategy!!!!! They have lloyd who has racked up some yards this yr along with some TD's and he does not have a f'in catch!!!!! Nice debut ROOKIE. I guess Glanville was right, the NFL does stand for NOT FOR LONG!!!!!!

 
lol -- everyone in the world was questioning the decision to start Smith against arguably the best all around team in the league. Looks like everyone was right.

 
You know I wish they would have told me that Alex Smith was going to start for the Niners when I picked up Brandon Lloyd over Joey Galloway two weeks ago. :wall:

I'm not a Rattay fan at all, but I agree that this game is probably at least 14-10 with Rattay in there

This is the most BRUTTALY FRUSTRATING game EVER!!!! Ok, not ever, but for Pete's sake!!!!! I know the high school coach here would put in a new qb and at least compete, not just give up!!!!! 9ers SUCK! PS - I am not bitter at all that I started Brandon Lloyd over the newly aquires A Boldin at 3 PM today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UUUGGHHHHHH!

Wrist guard on. Playing very little. No official prognosis/announcement from the "crack" announcing team. Heck Enberg mistook Walters for Harrison....

Colts had a sloppy game. It is a nice problem to have to play poorly and still win by 25 points on the road, though.

 
SF couldn't even give Barlow the ball one more time to get his 100 yds. I mean not all the big of a deal but it is something positive to look at coming away from the game.This was just a nasty game to watch.
