Game Thread W5 - Pittsburgh V Jacksonville (1 Viewer)

The TD was there if Ben puts some more air under the ball. I think MeMo looks very good, definitely primary backup good, too bad the Steelers signed him to a 3 year deal, I dont see much opportunity here past this year, but Im happy for the Stiller quality long term depth at RB (including Russell).

Let's see if the Pittsburgh D can put some pressure on Garrard. Last series, Pittsburgh did well against the run but they didn't put any pressure on the QB. Garrard's not going to make mistakes when he's got all day to pass, he proved that early on last year when he had an incredible TD to INT ratio. You must put pressure on him and force him and his receivers to make plays.

I'm actually not surprised that Moore looks pretty good. Whenever he was called upon in Minnesota he seemed to perform pretty well, as a receiver AND a runner. Knock on him has always been staying power, hasn't it? Hopefully he keeps it up tonight.

he was also known as kind of a whiner at Tulane and Minny.

The way they're picking on William James is nothing short of phenomenal (ogy)...

Call it a gut feeling, but I think this is going to be one hell of a game when it's all said and done.

Agreed. Typical Steelers-Jags game so far. Punch, counterpunch. However, if the Steelers actually start stopping them on third and longs it could be different this time.

Wish they'd run that play more with Holmes. One guy slips and it's over.
been saying the same thing for 2 yearsnot only can he give you the YAC factor on those, but considering the pressure the D's have been getting on Ben, quick slants to any of our receivers are a money play

Hummm.

I'm a ref shill, but Taunting is for College and Below. This is the big stage, unless there is contact put the flag away.

nice fake by Washington to draw the taunt. :goodposting:

Anyone know how much Jerry Porter is being paid per catch so far this year?

Never noticed this before, but it looks like Hartwig looks down, and then up, right before the snap on every play when Ben is under center... seems like it would be a tip off to the defense.

Sensabaugh is terrible in coverage. The Jags miss Reggie Nelson more than the Colts miss Bob Sanders. When you have no pass rush, you need a centerfielder with Nelson's range. Im shocked Gregg Williams isn't calling more blitzes.

Michaels' just made the point I was gonna make... the Jags defense has been on the field a loooooong time so far... they might wear down by the end of the game.

PossibleI remember watching Inside the NFL a week or 2 ago, and they showed John Abraham talking about how rookie Branden Albert would have his left heel up if it was pass, and down if it was runThat awareness def impressed me, even if he is a top rush end

Just had a thought... maybe he's doing that to signal the other Steeler O linemen since they are on the road.

Yeah, Miller is eating them alive across the middle.

I was thinking this after we got the TD on our 2nd driveThat Mathis Pick-6 is almost a negative for them at this point
