It was really bad in this case though, full extension two-handed shove that pushed him like 4 yards back out the back of the endzone.The question is whether or not the ball was in the air yet. If it wasn't, there's no illegal contact b/c Tebow was out of the pocket.

Exactly....Now with the bye week, it will be interesting to see if Fox can adapt an offense that works for Tebow. It was a loss, but did you see the players and the fans? That was exciting and gives the team at least a hope. If Orton is there, it was a loss. The crowd boos and walks out mad.

Judging by his comments throughout the game, I doubt it.
As a Charger fan, I feel very fortunate that Orton played the first half. If Tebow had played the whole game, I think the Broncos would have won.

I am not sure that throw was actually a hail mary, but you seldom get a call like that in any sport. Most refs are too scared to call it. Fun ending to an other wise boring game.

I think it was Buf/NE. Offence scored on the next play and the defense didn't take the field for the extra point out of protest

Fox not only gives the fans something they want and the team a spark...but he gives himself a longer leash by dedicating the season to "grooming Tebow."
If he resists and they don't turn it around, he'll take the blame. Putting Tebow in basically gives him a pass for 2011. He'd be dumb not to take it.

I can't imagine he'd even be on a hot seat in '11. Very, very few coaches get yanked after a season, much less on the hot seat halfway through. And none with Fox's pedigree. Mora Jr? Yanked, Fox won't be in hot water til year 3 unless they bomb spectacularly after he's had time to put his stamp on things.

you should be criticiziing the Westwood One radio team - I am in the car listening to the game and its late in the fourth quarter - and these guys are wondering why Hester was in the game running the ball, in fact they spent more than a passing moment on the topic - it was fifteen minutes AFTER the game was over when they realized that both Matthews and Tolbert were out with injury - and people on this thread had realized that long before . . .comical . . .
