Game Thread W5 - San Diego vs. Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

I don't get to watch too many Steeler games, but when I have, Big Ben has played with so much poise. His stats don't dictate it, but man, the guy is a complete winner. Sucks to see him go down like that.

I see injuries like that and I feel dirty watching the game...wish they could invent something to go around the knee to absorb those kind of hits...I know it's a pipedream but maybe one day.

I looked once and it looked a bit like the Raiders RB from a few years back...maybe 10 years back...not good.
It did look bad but not as bad as the Raiders RB. I think it was Napolean something.

Knee Airbags.

I was just saying I tore my ACL and MCL at the same time a few years ago. The pain is unreal.

Playing "Take Me Out" over the loudspeakers. I'm a Browns fan, and I pray they'd never do something like that for an injured player, even a Steeler.

It was straight onto the knee and they were bending and rebending the knee checking tendon and ligament damage (as a skiier, I have had, and have seen, the test multiple times). What you can take from them bendin gth eknee back and forth is two things:1) he did NOT break a kneecap or any bones.2) he did not not completely tear any of the tendons leading into the knee or they Unfortunately, it is WAY too early to know if he tore any ligaments or strained any tendons - they won't know any of thet w/o an MRI. I'd be surprised if he didn't have an MRI regardless.

Nap McCullom's (sp?) injury was MUCH MUCH worse.... It was almost McGahee like.
You're right...I admit the MoP gets real sqeamish on knee injuries...I suffered a bad one in school, I just hate watching them on TV.
