No, I've got the book. But they are on the Internet on something like www.bengal1.com -- not exactly sure of the URL, just some guy's home page who typed up all the rules from the book.MT, have you a link to the rules?

The F*** rule?We need a nickname ala the "Tuck Rule" for Rule 10, Section 1, Article 4, Supplemental Note (2). Any thoughts?
I'll take that bet (assuming you're talking about the muffed punt rather than the Hines Ward TD).Let me be first, I believe the NFL will be apologizing to the Steelers this week.
Tell me where they say, "this was a good call" in the posts in question. Seriously, point it out to me. I hate San Diego, by the way. So, no, I don't get it.No the point is, that they still think it was a good call. Which it wasn't. I wasn't saying that posting the rule was bad, but thinking the call was right just because SD is "your" team is.... get it?That's not my point. Bad call or not, I think we're all better off for now knowing what the official rule is. So, posting the rule IS good posting, regardless of the call. You don't have to be a homer to appreciate it... get it?There was no chance of him recatching the ball it was a yard in front of his outstretched arms. Even with the rule, it's a terrible call. The guys gives props to the dude who actually took the time to look up the rule and post it for the rest of us, and it's blind homerism?Gotta love blind homerism. Here's the rule:
"After a valid fair catch signal, the opportunity to make a catch does not end when a kick is muffed. The player who signaled fair catch must have a reasonable opportunity to catch the ball before it hits the ground without being interefered with by the members of the kicking team."
Rule 10, Section 1, Article 4, Supplemental Note (2).![]()

In my mind the amount of opportunity that is reasonable is related to the muff. If you are bobbling it in your hands, you should have a chance to grab it before it hits.If you muff the catch so badly that it bounces off your head and goes flying forward a split second time to recover (ie next to none) seems reasonable.Sadly, this call might mean the difference between a W and a L for me this week.
But I don't know if the refs could've used that part of the rule. Where did Sproles have that reasonable opportunity? He was hit a split second after the ball hit him in the mask. Granted, he had no shot at the ball, but that part is not in the rulebook.
Maybe. The F*** rule?We need a nickname ala the "Tuck Rule" for Rule 10, Section 1, Article 4, Supplemental Note (2). Any thoughts?
It's not only the # of touches, but how he is used. Don't get me wrong, LT has been great so far this year, but it is not because of Marty. How in the hell can everyone in the world be saying, "If you blitz you take LT out of the passing game", and it be true? Why does LT have to block every time someone blitzes, and this is common knowledge to all coaches. Has Marty ever heard of a freakin DRAW? It is the best way to slow down a blitzing defense. Or slip him under the blitz, leaving only 4 or so defensive guys left to tackle LT. Come on, this blitz and he has to block stuff is an absolute joke. I'm done. Let's go LT.MARRRRTY!!!! OH MARRRRTY!!!
Week 1 - LT: 20 Touches = LOSS
Week 2 - LT: 21 Touches = LOSS
Week 3 - LT: 24 Touches = WIN BIG
Week 4 - LT: 27 Touches = WIN BIGGER
Week 5 - LT: on Pace for 21 Touches = Losing
Which one of these kids is doing his own thing?
Are you a freaking moron?
Hello, McFly?!??
Here.Chargers related. Are you serious? Is this fantasy football related?Love that call!![]()

However, you can't jump on the guy trying to catch the ball on a fair catch. Give me one example where that has ever been allowed.
Call it the muff rule. The F*** rule?We need a nickname ala the "Tuck Rule" for Rule 10, Section 1, Article 4, Supplemental Note (2). Any thoughts?
An intentional muff forward prior to a catch in order to gain ground......
I'm waiting for Pelvic Thrusting to become an Olympic sport!
Deal. What a terrible call. He had his chance to catch the ####### ball. He muffed it.
I'll bet the first person to respond $5 that the NFL issues the Steelers ANOTHER apology.
What are the chances that that bunch of scrubs scores? If LT, McCardell or Gates score here I'm gonna be severly pissed.
I can accept that argument. But it's a stupid rule, that doesn't need to be argued...because it doesn't need to exist.

Pitt D has been playing well. I think field position is a good play there. Why not try the FG there?
My ears perk up when I hear about it because it usually means we are about to see Sam Ryan.Do we have to keep hearing about Tafoya's maternity leave?
Yes.During the break. Since they were talking about Hall of Fame kickers. Do you think Vinatieri will be elected into the HoF?
Sure. I find it funny. The comedic value of the commentary is what I consider "good stuff".Visions of Madden and the Bus never entered my mind.Good stuff? Madden and the Bus!?!?LOL. That's good stuff.Madden: "There's a lot of pressure on that belt buckle"
