Game Thread W5 - Seattle V Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Seattle fans were gracious in their loss
:football:
There are about three or four Seattle fans that post regularly on this board. Please link me to post from one of them that proves you right. Doc Detroit, Scientist, Shick, proninja, and just a few others were all gracious in the loss. You may like to think otherwise, but that's a fact.
Shick and Dr D. were pretty cool about it. But to say that they represent the majority of seahawk fans is SILLY.

Have a gander at this thread on scout.com:

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=114#s=114&a...5&t=1151055

That's pretty much the feeling I got everywhere. A bunch of crying with a few rational posters sprinked in here and there. Also remember that on this board Shick! either locked or deleted a most of the threads with the excessive whining.
Are you really going to profess that one group of fans is any worse than any other group of fans? Every team has its share of dooshbags. I thought I was pretty explicit in referencing the fans right here. My mistake if I wasn't clear.Seahawks getting pummeled now. That sucks.

Unbelievable. I got turned down on my offer of FWP for LJ last week. Maybe he will go for it after KC and LJ's performance after today. I still want him more than FWP. I've had it.

Anybody want Portis too?

Great.

Now when I say Parker is a bust and Henry is a bust (prior to this week) people will believe me. NO INFORMATION in the preseason ANYWHERE about these guys being vultured like this all the time. What a flipping joke.

I have FWP and it's obviously frustrating. But I'm just happy he's having success now after a very slow start today. The TDs will come eventually, just need patience. Might not be this week or next week, but he'll be getting them.

It's been 5 weeks. That's almost 1/3 of the season. WHEN?

how in the hell is davenport getting goal line carries over parker did i miss something tomlin youre an idiot.
Newsflash - Tomlin doesn't give a crap about your fantasy team. Davenport has punched in twice so far. That's great coaching.
is this a steelers website or fantasy website?
Who cares? When someone complains an NFL coach doing whatever it takes to score TDs, they sound dumb whether it's a fantasy site or a basketweaving site.

Parker did get the carry on 1st and goal from the 5. He went nowhere. Davenport then came in and scored. Sounds like good coaching to me. :ptts:

Gotta love dominating a decent team without 2 defensive pro-bowlers, their #3 corner, and both starting WRs.

Ben's looked fantastic despite having Cedric Wilson and Nate Washington starting at WR. He's done a fantastic job finding the open guy and hitting him.

Newsflash--This is a fantasy football site. He doesn't necessarily give a crap about the Steelers and whether they win. He wants Parker to score. So do I.

Good luck with that. :ptts:

Calling a coach an idiot for scoring in a way that does not benefit your team is ignorant regardless of the type of site it is. If you want to call someone out because your fantasy team is losing there is one person to blame, and that person is not an employee of any NFL team.

A football website. And what he said has an impact on fantasy (especially for Parker owners). Homers give the best info.

Any Santonio Holmes sightings?
He's on the sidelines out for the game, there are no sightings to be had.
Do you know if he started?
Oh. CRAP. That sucks... I'm getting burned in a number of leagues, didn't see this anywhere.
That's cuz FBG have been sleeping a bit this year. I swear the quick updates took a huge dip this year. CBS and Fanball have been getting news out faster than FBG
When exactly did it happen? I have him in too, but from my understanding it happened after the general cutoff time.
Any word as to why he's out yet? That stinks, had some good options on my bench too.

You guys need to realize that fantasy football is more dumb luck than skill these days.
I'm tending to agree. And the more luck that is involved the more it sucks to even play.
There is no more or less luck involved today than there ever was, but with the ease of finding information thanks to the internet there is more parity among owners. If it seems harder to be successful today than in the past, it means you are finally playing with people who are as informed as you are.

Can someone please enlighten me on what this emoticon means? Thanks.
It means Davenpoop scores two touchdowns and everyone gets to call me a big crybaby.
Yes there was, the info was here at FBGs in a thread I started that said Davenport was getting increased first team reps at the goalline.

I hate Willie Parker. There, I said it.
I agree. One of the biggest busts of the first 5 weeks. No injury to cry about. No losing team to cry about. Just invisible.
He isn't getting the TDs but has had 100 yards in 7 out of the last 9 games. Your invisible statement is not very bright.
To call him a bust is ridiculous - but it WOULD be nice to get at least one of those TDs from him.The other thing that gets me is when I see Davenport with long runs

The game has changed. More wide open offenses with random WR blowing up all over the place. More 2 RB systems with guys sharing carries. You can be as informed as you want to be. What happens on Sunday is a crapshoot.

Leonard was running really well in the 1st half. Why have they resorted to passing by a ratio of 6-1 in the second half?

If you're in a 50/50 or TD only league, he is a bust.

My original point in this thread ended up being what happened unfortunately. That drive to start the 3rd quarter was one of the most painful drives I've ever seen. 3rd and 7, 8 yards, 3rd and 5, 6 yards, 3rd and 17, 18 yards.

Didn't really expect to win this game but man the offense looked bad and couldn't adjust to Pittsburgh well conceived scheme. Two home games and a bye week coming and being 3-2 is ok with me.

WOW, throwing in the towel?! First I've ever seen Holmgren give up.

Pathetic offensive performance. SA just plain sucks, I knew it was a mistake the minute the signed him to a big deal. Can't run the ball worth a damn unless there's a big hole and no one to tackle him. Most overpaid, overrated and heartless player.

Run D played well, can't help but give up yards when you're on the field for 3/4 of the game. They took it away early and made Roth beat them, and he did. Coupled with the above pathetic offense and it's a beat down. It was the biggest regular season game win I wanted this year and to watch this is just sickening. Plus I have Parker in one league and sat Davenpoop in 2 others for different bye week fillers.

I hate early game losses, ruins the rest of the day's viewing. Maybe I'll just play some Halo 3.

If you are still in a 50/50 or TD only league you are right. At that level FF is a crapshoot.
