Game Thread W6 - Detroit V Minnesota (1 Viewer)

Here's what I don't get. Why does Childress run Peterson on first down and then go with two pass attempts that invariably fail? Peterson just got 5 yards on first down the last two series of downs. After that, he passed twice.

 
It seems that the Lions have these obvious blitzes coming and the Vikes have yet to pick it apart. Good teams - particularly those running the WCO - should eat that up.

 
What a great run by Kevin Smith. Right at the end he hurdled a Vikings defensive player that one of his blockers plastered.

 
Tell me that J.Allen doesn't get a sack for that play.

Bet Kevin W definitely gets one for that!

come on...just toss it up to Calvin or Roy for god's sake. how ####### difficult is that? megatron is 6'5" and the fastest guy on the field!

 
and again that was all on Orlovsky by fumbling the first snap after the big run. he's making mistakes every other play. PUT STANTON IN.

Could someone in the know please inform me as to what the hell is going on with Sidney Rice, besides the obligatory 'he sucks'? What is this mysterious medical condition that keeps making him what seems to be a surprise last minute scratch?

I swear Childress looks just like my 8th grade typing teacher. He is the furthest thing from looking like a Football Coach i've ever seen :thumbdown:

Among the locals, he holds about as much respect.Nothing short of powering their way into the playoffs will change the way he's perceived in the Twin Cities.

Rod Marinelli then benched grubb for Barbaro Garbay after reading on a blog between innings that the twins pitchers have been awful against batters without glasses. :confused:

For now, do not expect any more than average stats from Peterson. He'll get about 75 total yards per game and a TD every other game. There is simply no blocking and no respect for the passing game.

The longer Childress is the coach, the lower the odds of the Vikings staying in Minnesota.

Minnesota will NEVER vote for a new stadium for a, at best, .500 team.

I'm almost to the point now where I'd rather go 3-13 this year with a Interim coach than suffer through a full season with Childress with the continued "we are building" speech. :confused: .

This is all true. Add to the mix that the team can't get any flow to their game. Penalties, unimaginative play calling, and shaky talent on the right side of the line just kill Peterson's chance to get his feet under him.Lackluster. That's what this offense provides right now. A lackluster effort.
 
If the Lions beat the Vikes today that has to be the end of Childress. Right????

 
OK, if Childress losses this game and DOESN'T get fired than it is official.. Ziggy wants to move the team..

Seriously, that would be the only reason he isn't fired.. This is a fricken joke. :thumbdown:
