So does this mean that the Saints are contractually obligated to pick up Carney again next week? I don't get why they can't just stick with Hartley and accept that he's going to miss a few short ones. I'd imagine that it certainly doesn't help a kicker's confidence level to continually bench them and re-insert them a couple weeks later.
