Game Thread W7 - Indianapolis V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

Are Grant's hands that bad or are Brandon Jackson's just that good that they pull Grant out for most passing plays?

In reality the difference between the two in the passing game is probably negligible. But the Packers use Jackson as a means to avoid running Grant into the ground. He has 20 touches in the first half you know.

Grant does look better...helps that Indy is not great defensively against the run and he is not always getting hit right away.

I will say, I don't like the 2 TE set with Ruvell Martin coming into the middle to block. Not sure if they are hoping Grant can break a tackle or two and hit a big one or what...but they have run it about 4 times and at most have gotten a 3 yard run out of it.

3-4 GB37 (7:44) (No Huddle, Shotgun) P.Manning pass incomplete short middle to R.Wayne.

This is getting pathetic.

That's either out of bounds at the 1, or a touchback. Can't possibly be a touchdown as he didn't have control of it.

Something has to be done about the officiating in this league. Nothing is worse than when the officials interfere too much and call EVERYTHING. Did anybody else notice that there were some RIDICULOUS calls in this game. This was a grueling game to watch.

It felt like they were making stuff up in this one. I mean, what was that call at the beginning with the onside kick?? And how about the block in the back on Peyton after the tipped ball interception return? Or the obvious catch that was ruled a non catch to Wayne in the 4th quarter (the one where two officials said it was a catch and one said it was not and they huddled up and decided it was not a catch.)

Let them play the game for heaven's sake!

sucks for those who own peyton manning, looking on espn, as they credited and then took away 2 touchdown throws by peyton manning...and then finally a 1 yard TD run by rhodes.

That's exactly what I was thinking as I bashed my head into the wall both times they took the TD away.

Dungy threw in the towel? Down by 20 with 1:44 or so to go and he kicks deep? Yes, there's less than a 1% chance you'll recover 3 onside kicks and score 3 TDs, but why not even try? Boggled the mind.

Well, if it makes you feel any better there was really no doubt as to whether or not they'd be overturned. Both were the correct calls. In fact, the only debate was whether the second one should have been down at the 1 or a touchback.

But think how wonderful it is for Rhodes owners...not a Rhodes owner here.
i got really lucky having both manning and rhodes, but that's why i came into this thread - to find out exactly what was happening.

Am I wrong about the officiating in this game?

Are you a Colts fan?

The Colts are just not good.

The officiating was fine. I'm a fan of neither team. There was nothing in the game that really stood out as egregious errors. It's natural to make excuse for your team when expectations were so high.

What was the call on the onsides kick? Ummm...it was the rule.

Sorry, but you're wrong. The Colts will be fine, and that was one of the worst officiated games I can remember in a long time. All of it going Green Bay's way. It's almost as if they had money on the game or something. The Colts WRs were getting mugged, and they were calling ticky tack pass interference calls on the Colts all game long.ETA: Not to mention the non-holding calls on the Packers, and the holding calls on the Colts. You could see it in the eyes of the refs, they definitely favored the Packers today.
