Game Thread W7 - Minnesota V Chicago (1 Viewer)

Does R Davis get credit for the TD on that recovery?
I don't think so... the NFL scores that as "Offensive fumble recovery TD"[edit: let me preface that some league's scoring system counts off fumble recovery TDs, much less off fumble recovery yards]

Something along the lines of once the fumble occurs, possession is nuetral until otherwise determined (fumlbing out of bounds, recovery, etc...).

It's not a lateral per se... so it's not a running TD.

We had one of these arleady this year I thought.
Meh, thanks for the clarification. Old fashioned shootout here. Back to the game.

Vikes turn the ball over on downs. A team with about $100 billion invested in their O-Line and with Adrian Peterson running behind it couldn't get 1 yard. Didn't even really try.

Yeah, I'm sure we all expected 72 total points in the 3rd quarter of this game.

Marty Booker catches the ball about 5 yards beyond scrimmage and ran 50 yards downfield for a TD.

Orton is playing so well and the Vikes pass defense continues to fail. Ced Griffin loses Booker and continues to be the worst starting CB in the NFL.

Okay, I haven't been watching, just got back from Church but....Yahoo! Stattracker has Chicago with 3 Defensive TDs? I only count 2 TDs and I assume they are counting the Davis recovery as a Defensive TD?

Bye coming up - perfect time to let Childress go. Right?
Who do you have take over? That's been my concern all along and unless they have someone in mind to turn this thing around THIS season they should weather the storm.I forgot to add kickass offense. Don't forget about the kickass offense.

Bobby Wade has heart.

Bernard TD

Too little too late - no sense of urgency from this team - I don't get it.

I don't understand taking Peterson out of the game here.
Serious, did they not see Peterson break that 54 yarder for a TD! He can break one at any time and they take him out for Taylor?
Unless it is 1st or 2nd down and they don't need to pass, Childress doesn't care. Peterson is utterly useless unless it is 1st or 2nd down and a run scenario.
Says who? The problem is they don't give him a chance to be a receiving back. Dispite what others think Peterson can catch a football and does a suitable job pass blocking.

/Sarcasm.

What could possibly go wrong here? Just a simple punt return.

Oh. Thank goodness.
