Game Thread W7 - San Diego V NY Jets (1 Viewer)

Phil Simms is goofy. The ball never hit the ground, so it is a touchdown, regardless of whether it is a fumble or an INT.

Damn, as a Ryan Mathews owner I love him, but he just let Philip Rivers get sacked on third down...

Antonio Gates sighting.

ETA: He looked decent on that pattern. Apparently full speed for now.

Tolbert. But he didn't get it done. Gates did. But why was gates on the sideline till third down. He should be in during a red zone chance. Maybe just keeping him fresh?? Worked out I guess. Booyah.

Gates made a great cut off his left foot to get open there, very impressed

On an unrelated topic, these flags are friggin annoying

SICK catch by Malcom Floyd.
Could have been challenged, but wasn't. The ball came out — the question is whether it landed on the ground or on his forearm. Looked like forearm, but hard to say. Probably not enough evidence to overturn it if it had been reviewed.

Ugh. I always start Mathews when he dissapears. Tolbert looking really good running the ball. As much as it pains me to say, the Charges need to keep running Tolbert this game.

Good first half. Nice to see the offense clicking on all cylinders again with Gates back.
Yep. Very nice first half considering the circumstances, opponent, and time/place. Other than that 3 and out on the first drive, offense looks fantastic.

Looking for the Chargers to put the Jets away and not let them creep back into it. Their inability to do that to opponents in the first few games has concerned me. Very curious to watch this half.
