More like Bailey > Darrent Williams. That loss was absolutely, positively, 100% on Denver's D-Line. That was the sorriest performance I have ever seen from any unit in any game *EVER*, and I'm not exaggerating here. I literally counted one time all game long where a Denver defender was within 3 feet of Peyton Manning when he threw the ball. If you gave Alex Smith 5 seconds every time with those receivers, HE would have won that game. After Elam made the game-tying field goal, I actually turned to my girlfriend and told her it was game over, Denver had lost, and turned to watch another game (Cleveland/New York). With as much time as was left on the clock, I knew that there was no way Denver could stop Manning on that last drive, since they couldn't even get a hand on him within 5 seconds of the snap. Maybe in the red zone, but with the entire field to work with and 5+ seconds for every throw, Denver had no chance of stopping Manning from getting 40 yards for the game-winning FG.If I were Denver, I would have just blitzed both corners there. It would have been entirely unexpected, it would have gotten pressure on Manning (finally!), and if he beat it and threw deep for a TD, at least you'd have the ball in your hands with time left on the clock against a defense that hadn't been able to stop you all day long.
