I saw his left leg and foot move a bit, which the announcers commented on. This was before he was placed on the headboard.Did anyone see Collie move?

So you think it is more appropriate to be concerned about a correct call and not the health of a player who looks to be in serious condition? As questionable of a call as it was....the Philly fans look like asses for booing while Collie looks to be unconscious on the field.![]()
If you are referring to them clapping when he was being wheeled out it's common for fans to cheer for the player as a sign of support. Eagles fans have a rep that in general is not deserved.I saw philly fans clapping? Straight class baby
Hey now, let's not get crazy here. I would cheer for Osama bin Laden if he could pound out 1200 rushing yards and 14 TD's on the year or get my Dolphins a win.Eagles fans (most, not all) obviously don't care about human decency.
They cheer for convicted dog killer Michael Vick and they loudly boo while Collie was lying unconscious on the field.
Stay classy, Philly.
I think he moved while on the field. You heard some clapping and i think it was in response to that. Also for the booing you heard, the eagles stadium has a HUGEEEEEE video screen there so the booing was for the play being flagged and not a fumbleDid anyone see Collie move?
Exactly, I'm sure the fans eyes were all glued on the jumbotron, and didn't realize how hurt Collie was yet.I think once everyone noticed the seriousness, it died down. Hope he is ok.Earning their bad reputation right now. For the most part that reputation is underserved, but that is beyond classless to boo that call when a guy could be paralyzed. As questionable of a call as it was....the Philly fans look like asses for booing while Collie looks to be unconscious on the field.

Santa deserved an iceball, he made a move reaching into a big sack. Turned out to be a stuffed Snoopy, but from the nosebleeds it looked like an AK.And that reputation was just thrust upon them and is not deserved in any way, right?:(eagles fans cuold save a sinking ship of drowning kittens and people would still look at them or find someway to say they were negative..The flag was thrown as a response to Collie's prone state in my opinion - it came a few seconds after the hit. That said, the chorus of boos round the stadium for the flag whilst a player is lying clearly unconscious, and none of us know how badly he is hurt, leaves a bad taste.
I agree it was a bad call but I don't think them getting the 15 yards made it a "gift" TD, they moved the ball pretty well on that drive.Enjoy your gift TD, Colts.
Kinda, yeah. It indicates he was knocked out, not necessarily any neck/spinal injury.Didn't see any good signs in the afterrmath though :(Watch UFC, it is fairly common and not a "bad" sign actually.Everytime I see someone's arms locked up when they are knocked out it scares the crap out of me.

I hope it's just shockNo movement while being carted off.
2nd was still a shoulder, and Collie was still a runner at that point. Thanks. You're watching the wrong defender. Try again.Looked like helmet to helmet.. When are guys going to learn you can't lead with your helmet..1. It was a shoulder2. He had posession, made two steps and HE lowered his helmet. He is a runner.Bad call. Not sure what everyone is missing here... helmet to helmet hit by the last defender coming in.

20 years ago? That was 42 years ago. In Dallas they shot the president of the US. Can I bring that up to Cowboy fans everytime they do something bad? Jesus people get new material. Now are you going to bring up Santa Claus booing from 20 years ago, weak. Almost as weak as the refs giving away 7 that drive. And that reputation was just thrust upon them and is not deserved in any way, right?:(eagles fans cuold save a sinking ship of drowning kittens and people would still look at them or find someway to say they were negative..The flag was thrown as a response to Collie's prone state in my opinion - it came a few seconds after the hit. That said, the chorus of boos round the stadium for the flag whilst a player is lying clearly unconscious, and none of us know how badly he is hurt, leaves a bad taste.
Um, he was hoping to hurdle someone, he wasn't delivering a drop kick. What about Schmitt's kick to the defender? Man that should be a flag right? Defense gets no breaks.
Did they have stuffed snoopys back in the 60s when this happened?:(Santa deserved an iceball, he made a move reaching into a big sack. Turned out to be a stuffed Snoopy, but from the nosebleeds it looked like an AK.![]()

That could be a reflexI saw his left leg and foot move a bit, which the announcers commented on. This was before he was placed on the headboard.Did anyone see Collie move?
You're wrong.I'm sure this will be the hot topic all week but if it happened in Cleveland or Buffalo it wouldn't even come up. Such a double standard
If it happened during a Cowboys game you could.\20 years ago? That was 42 years ago. In Dallas they shot the president of the US. Can I bring that up to Cowboy fans everytime they do something bad? Jesus people get new material.
Weird. I thought it was the injured, motionless receiver being carted off the field.Nantz took that way too personally
after hearing Gus Johnson and Steve Tasker on the Jets v Lions call earlier i really don't understand CBS' insistence on Nantz and Simms as the #1 team. they suck the life out of the game.
Doesn't get anymore helmet to helmet than the 2nd defender hitting the back of Collie's skull. Runner or not is irreverent in the point I'm trying to make. I'm actually quite disinterested in the penalty argument and more concerned with the well-being of Collie, but you're blind if you didn't see a helmet hitting Collie's helmet.2nd was still a shoulder, and Collie was still a runner at that point. Thanks. You're watching the wrong defender. Try again.Looked like helmet to helmet.. When are guys going to learn you can't lead with your helmet..1. It was a shoulder2. no helmet to helmet at all on that play. saw the replay a half-dozen times and never saw helmet to helmet contact.2nd was still a shoulder, and Collie was still a runner at that point. . Really good effort. It wasn't like it happened right after the play. Collie had been down for a long time by the time that replay went up.Exactly, I'm sure the fans eyes were all glued on the jumbotron, and didn't realize how hurt Collie was yet.I think once everyone noticed the seriousness, it died down. :X

Same as the defender was trying to tackle someone, not deliver a knockout to Collie.Um, he was hoping to hurdle someone, he wasn't delivering a drop kick. What about Schmitt's kick to the defender? Man that should be a flag right? Defense gets no breaks.
Do people realize that there is helmet-to-helmet contact on >75% of all plays.2nd was still a shoulder, and Collie was still a runner at that point. Thanks. You're watching the wrong defender. Try again.Looked like helmet to helmet.. When are guys going to learn you can't lead with your helmet..1. It was a shoulder2. He had posession, made two steps and HE lowered his helmet. Shtick? The guy coming from Collie's backside planted his face mask right into the back of Collie's helmet. Collie changed him plane, and I'm not even really sure the defender meant to do it, but it was plain as day. That's when Collie lost consciousness.no helmet to helmet at all on that play. saw the replay a half-dozen times and never saw helmet to helmet contact.
actually i'm not. If you think the media is fair when covering stories of philadelphia fans compared to other cities you have your head in the sand. You're wrong.I'm sure this will be the hot topic all week but if it happened in Cleveland or Buffalo it wouldn't even come up. Such a double standard
settle down. i'm talking about their entire body of work.they are dull, lifeless and far too serious. Gus Johnson and Steve Tasker made that Jets v Lions game feel like a playoff fight. it's possible to be exciting on the call without going over the top.Weird.
Some people seem to think that all helmet to helmet contact is illegal. Apparently some people in this very thread. If they don't get it by now I don't think they ever will.Do people realize that there is helmet-to-helmet contact on >75% of all plays.
I understand the people arguing that it shouldn't have been a penalty because Collie lowered his head. I have no idea what you're even talking about. There is zero doubt that it was helmet to helmet. I think everyone on both sides except you can at least agree on that.2nd was still a shoulder, and Collie was still a runner at that point. Thanks. You're watching the wrong defender. Try again.Looked like helmet to helmet.. When are guys going to learn you can't lead with your helmet..1. It was a shoulder2. He had posession, made two steps and HE lowered his helmet. 2 drops later...lol thats one player eagles D should NOT leave wide open...wayne
