Flawless tackle by Griffin there. LT spent too much time dancing instead of lowering his shoulder against a CB to get the first down.

I disagree. He paused for a moment to try and out-maneuver the CB and made a great move. The defense swarmed him, though. I didn't see too much dancing.

Jammer starting, Cromartie nickel back and Oliver inactive..... I was hoping Cromartie might get the start and Oliver would be used as the nickel back. If Jammer gets beat by these stiffs at WR he should be benched.

Both Davis/Floyd inactive.... makes you wonder if Chambers may have a big day vs a great run defense. SD may have to do damage in the air today.

Man, MN's run defense is sick. LT will be lucky to get 60 rushing yards today. ALthough, he might get 2-3 TDs.

How is that not intentional grounding??

BTW, actually some good tackling being seen today - while AD and LT2 simultaneously look really good. Can't believe SD hasn't started using Gates yet.

I thought it was interesting Deirdorf said the pocket was from TE-to-TE. I always thought it was Tackle to tackle. It was close if you were judging based on the tackle, but he clearly wasn't outside where a TE would have been.

I think the guy running the clock got to the stadium on the short bus. The clock isn't supposed to be running when the officials are making a call(or non-call?).

Chargers.. I know your strength is the Rush game.. But you might want to watch a little film on the vikings defense this year..

Aye. They should be doing a bunch of screens and passes over the middle against this Vikings defense. The Vikings have a serious chance of winning this game if SD keeps incurring penalties.

Is gates hiding? Wheres he been all game?
dunno, to be honest. we're doing a nice job blitzing. rivers had him twice but made bad throws. rivers look awful IMO. missed chambers for a TD, missed jackson for one, and had some bad drops by jackson. TEs usually kill us too so i don't get it really.

is norv serious? you know you're playing the worst pass d in the league with their best corner out....right?
they are passing... to their credits smith and griffin are playing well. rivers is also making bad throws. we are getting pressure too.

So far they seem to really be attacking the CB's(Griffin in particular). I'm all for that but I'd like to see them get Gates involved on some short passes and settle Rivers down right now. Also, I'm not sure why they are running Tomlinson straight up the gut so often, I've always thought the strength of the MIN run defense is up the middle. They should keep feeding Tomlinson the ball but I'd love to see him run out wide.MIN playing well(except for their punter).
