Game Thread W9 - San Diego V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

Eli, Vick, and Cutler are the unholy trinity of QBs. I really hope the Chargers win this one, but if they don't, I hope Eli looks stupid.

I just thought I'd lead us off with some top-notch analysis.

What a great way to end a good drive!

Why not accept the penalty on 1st down to make it 1st and 5 instead of 2nd and 2?

Why isn't Jacobs in the game on 3rd and 1?

Eli steps out of bounds five or six yards back of the LOS before throwing the ball away!

Edit: replay shows that he got rid of it first.

2nd edit: still funny!

Actually he didn't. Not even close. Not even within a half a yard of stepping out of bounds. How the ref missed that one I have no clue, and I'm rooting for SD.Even worse, that play is not challengable. :lmao: refs.

Jim Nance just said that among all QBs with 50 or more starts since 1950, Rivers "averages more points on the board" than any other QB. He said Otto Graham is second and Norm Van Brocklin is third. Of course, what he is talking about is points scored for the team in his regular season starts, so obviously there are a lot of other players and a lot of coaching that contributes to it. Still, pretty cool stat.

Nothing on Jacobs? Had my backed turned, fixing some food...punted again but I didn't hear his name or an update.

Hmmm...Danny Ware with a nice 6 yard game gain. Great preseason, would like to see a little more of him now that he's healthy.

And another run by Ware to end the quarter...

I don't want to hear the Logical answer. Next toime I go directly to the Venting Thread. :bag:

Ware getting snaps here.
why WHY W H Y ?????frustrated Jacobs (and Slaton) owner :wall:  :wall:
Giants had a lot of success with using three backs last year and with Bradshaw having a bad foot and Jacobs often a little dinged, it just makes sense to work another guy into the rotation a bit.

Difficult to say that you'll see a worse read than that this season. The DB was just running right under Floyd step for step, he was smack bang in the path of the passing lane, but Rivers threw it anyway.

Hey Norv -- way to waste the 2 minute warning. Instead of getting the ball with 2:35 to go, you're going to get it with 1:59 to go and no 2 minute warning.
