Actually he didn't. Not even close. Not even within a half a yard of stepping out of bounds. How the ref missed that one I have no clue, and I'm rooting for SD.Even worse, that play is not challengable. refs.

Jim Nance just said that among all QBs with 50 or more starts since 1950, Rivers "averages more points on the board" than any other QB. He said Otto Graham is second and Norm Van Brocklin is third. Of course, what he is talking about is points scored for the team in his regular season starts, so obviously there are a lot of other players and a lot of coaching that contributes to it. Still, pretty cool stat.

Giants had a lot of success with using three backs last year and with Bradshaw having a bad foot and Jacobs often a little dinged, it just makes sense to work another guy into the rotation a bit.

Difficult to say that you'll see a worse read than that this season. The DB was just running right under Floyd step for step, he was smack bang in the path of the passing lane, but Rivers threw it anyway.
