That was an excuse to uphold the call. That judge didn't look at that continuation play at all.
Ball caught with two feet inbounds. Called incomplete because WR lost control as he hit the ground. I think the play was originally called OB though. What happened for those not able to watch the game?
3rd and 8. Pass complete to Jason Hill at the sideline, gets both feet in. Falls to ground out of bounds.Side judge calls him out of bounds but he had both feet in on replay. Then they rule incomplete for he didn't maintain possession as he fell to the ground about 4 yards out of bounds (but that wasn't why he was initially ruled as not completing the catch). What happened for those not able to watch the game?
I don't really get this rule either. I guess the ground can cause a fumble is you're out of bounds. Just don't get it.He had the ball in his possession when his knee was down..maybe I'm just not understanding basic rules here.
IMHO it was the refs saving face.I don't really get this rule either. I guess the ground can cause a fumble is you're out of bounds. Just don't get it.He had the ball in his possession when his knee was down..maybe I'm just not understanding basic rules here.
Edge is slated to make $5M in 08 and 09 with a cap charge of $6.75/yr. If they don't keep him they'll take a one-time hit for the balance of his 06 signing bonus of $3.5M.50/50 they keep him.An Edge sighting![]()
One my fav. players but looks like he could be going toward that 8-10 carries a game role for rest of his career if he stays in Arizona? I heard 2 years ago they were looking to replace him so anyone else have any insight?
ya i dont get the ruling. They didnt challenge they ball coming out at the end nor was it the original ruling by the ref. SF challenged the catch in bounds which is what the call was and they should have won the challenge.3rd and 8. Pass complete to Jason Hill at the sideline, gets both feet in. Falls to ground out of bounds.Side judge calls him out of bounds but he had both feet in on replay. Yes that's the rule. A player must maintain possession of the ball when falling to the ground out of bounds. That wasn't the first call though.I don't really get this rule either. I guess the ground can cause a fumble is you're out of bounds. Just don't get it.He had the ball in his possession when his knee was down..maybe I'm just not understanding basic rules here.
:confetti:Josh Morgan!!11!Please count....
You know it is still early, right?Unbelievable. I am close to haveing a meltdown here. This is BS
[Nelson] Ha Ha [/Nelson]Unbelievable. I am close to haveing a meltdown here. This is BS
Best QB they have - and he's pretty good.Team really plays better with Hill at QB
it's not a fumble. it's incomplete. you have to maintain possession after hitting the ground.I don't really get this rule either. I guess the ground can cause a fumble is you're out of bounds. Just don't get it.He had the ball in his possession when his knee was down..maybe I'm just not understanding basic rules here.
They're the Cardinals. They're always in trouble. It's only Warner mojo that holds fate at bay. =Dhaha nice juggling catch. are the cards in trouble guys??
I want to win with no drama. Preferably by 30 points or so. Cardinals are letting me down here. You know it is still early, right?Unbelievable. I am close to haveing a meltdown here. This is BS
hard to say, but my thought upon him catching it was "Whew! If you'd dropped that you might have been inexplicably benched for two weeks."People's thoughts on Morgan going forward?
I know that it's the rule. I just don't understand it. Why would you have to maintain possession out of bounds but if you're in bounds you don't? My understanding of "the ground can't cause a fumble" is because as soon as you make contact with the ground then you're down. This should also be the case if you're out of bounds. Anyway, back to the game.it's not a fumble. it's incomplete. you have to maintain possession after hitting the ground.I don't really get this rule either. I guess the ground can cause a fumble is you're out of bounds. Just don't get it.He had the ball in his possession when his knee was down..maybe I'm just not understanding basic rules here.
it's easy playing better than GARBAGE (O'Sullivan & Smith)Team really plays better with Hill at QB
OK, you've made your point.Kurt, dial up Boldin and Fitz now.
the rule isn't different in bounds. you still have to maintain control if you're going to the ground as you catch it.I know that it's the rule. I just don't understand it. Why would you have to maintain possession out of bounds but if you're in bounds you don't? My understanding of "the ground can't cause a fumble" is because as soon as you make contact with the ground then you're down. This should also be the case if you're out of bounds. all is forgiven.OK, you've made your point.Kurt, dial up Boldin and Fitz now.
Huge upside going forward. Huge.hard to say, but my thought upon him catching it was "Whew! If you'd dropped that you might have been inexplicably benched for two weeks."People's thoughts on Morgan going forward?
